Yeah sooo The AI is Frakin awesome now!

ok so ive been playing for about 2 hours now AFTER the live update (ai upgrade) and i was on container city being a medic. my whole team died and there was about 4 enemies. i revived two medics, like a smart player. the two medics then revived two HEAVY engi's who then proceded to mow down the oncoming onslought of enemies. i then grabed the vaccine and made my way towards the drop off zone. sadly i died right befor the drop of zone a freindly medic killed the enemy trying to send the vaccine back to the start point. he then kindly revived me and let me get the final points. has anybody else noticed the awesome upgrade in the freindly Ai?

Haven't played it yet, just about to. But last night's AI however, svcked monkey nuts. I'll edit this when I play the game

EDIT: Ok, I do't know if the update took affect on mine yet. The AI is still [censored] unbelievably [censored]. I BARELY managed to complete Be More Objective 2 Stars, and that was on a new character. So in short, they still svck ass.

interesting, i had 4 AI medics trampling over my dead body, no revive, had to respawn.

Yeah, they removed the AI's combat inhibitors - AI used to hold back A LOT until you hit level 15. They got rid of that, and it shows. Level 10 Normal AI whupped me and my brother on our asses on Container City. Them offensive AI is good.


I expect hundreds of new threads to complain about how hard the AI is.

Whoa i just played a short match and the AI on my team was setting the bombs, repairing the drones and so on... i could sit back almost and do nothing. That was weird.

they can tweak those things through netvars and changes could update while you're playing and be in effect

I haven't seen the change yet, but maybe it's because I have a PS3. It patched on release day though, so I'm not sure. Is there anywhere where we can see what has been changed by the netvars or whatever they're called? It'd be kind of scary to go into battle using a gun that you thought was amazing if it got nerfed without you knowing. It could also be hilarious using a previously terrible gun that can suddenly mow down enemies.

Them offensive AI is good.

It's not the offensive AI people are hating on its the team AI aka the stupid ones that sit there and do nothing but get shot at occasionally (assuming they you are no where near them)

We won't be able to experience this update (or any update that's not a full fledged patch) until PSN goes live again.

people need to shut up and stop complaining. im on ps3 and im having a frigin blast with this game after that Ai fix. the only match ive lost so far after 5 HOURS of playing is the missle launch one as the security, and even that was a VERY close match we had the hack at 75% the operatives were doing there job but a enemy threw a gernade and knocked them down. I was out of pips so i couldnt revive our downed medics so i was forced to respawn. and i got the enemies off of the hack box at 1% sadly the operatives WERE GOING FOR THE MAIN OBJECTIVE but had no buffs etc. so they died. but in the end i still ended up with a fun match and 7k exp AND IM NOT EVEN PLAYING ONLINE! so yeah quit complaining people. (not directed towards anybody that has posted here)

No one said anything about the enemy AI.. It was for the most part ok ( outside of knowing where you are at all times + aimbot like aim ).

Its the utterly stupid friendly AI that was the problem.

I played a little bit today and I didnt see a difference.. Enemy AI squatting on the objective and my AI teammates never even approaching the general area of the objective.

Yea enemy A.I was overkill some times. And what made it worse was the friendly team A.I which is thicker then two Short planks.

It's great that we recieved an update fairly quickly in comparison to most developers, but we wouldn't have had these obvious issues in the first place if the game had been beta tested more (preferably on the 360 and PC as well since they're having obvious issues with the game's quality). Crap AI was one of the many reasons Brink is getting bad reviews.

OT: I haven't gotten a chance to try the new AI out yet, but did the lag get fixed at all?
