4D forums? :o Insanity! There's too much to follow in 2D, we shall be lost forever in 4.

Plus, in 10 more years, you'll be like 150 million and 13, which is totally old. :P
Congrats on the first 10 here. Things at the start must've been interesting to see.

150,000,020! I'm 150,000,010!

Archie!!!! I thought you disappeared :(

Good to see you back :)

Hi Turtl! I'm around just mostly lurking and running the chat room still.

Any plans to moderate again in the future? You would be an excellent moderator - as you were before! :) A moderating machine that could churn out the work of 10 men in half the time. No troll could put a foot out of line without getting swooped from above by a winged jurassic protochicken.

If they asked me I would probably say yes since I have the time now, but I would be like a newbie since the rules have changed so much since when I moderated, I'd have to learn the new mod rules! :spotted owl:

Those are recent days, before that we had black/orange, purple and then purple again :P

And Nightlife!

Do you realise you're 3,000 years old in Internet years?

Yes but I am millions of years old so thats nuthin' ;D

You kidding? If Archie was moderating, I wouldn't even risk a toe. :P

Mmmmmm toes. I know about your constant terror in the chat. :cryvaultboy:

Absolutely, but I got nothing on Archie. It's the difference between being Gandalf and Gandalf's boss really and Gandalf's boss's boss (Archie goes here).

Cool read. Thanks for posting. I would really like to think I will stick around to be able to post the same thing someday. Pretty great community, so I will probably stick it out.

Congratulations on your decade-old account. I'm about to hit the 10 year mark on some other forums.I think it's quite amazing that phpbb has remained as standard for message boards without any fundamental changes for so long now. 10 years in internet time is like centuries. A testament to how acessable and practical they are I guess. I'm pretty hopeful that it will outlive stuff like Facebook and Twitter.

Actually up till 2004 or so, they used UBB :)

Great post Archie, I really enjoyed reading that.

While I'm only half as old as you (on t'internets), I love throwbacks to past times on these forums, and I especially love reading about what it was like before my time.

Nice to see you back and I hope you stick around! :)

Interesting read, funny how every new TES game seems to split the fanbase in half.

It seems like every game splits the fanbases like this.

I have been on here for what, 7 years now? Only been Moderating for the last 5 or so. I have seen some changes on the boards. Most of them good, some of them understandable, some not so good.

I do miss some of the old posters, but I embrace the new ones. I do miss discussing Politics, but I don't miss the hurt feelings when I pointed out how wrong somone was. OK, kidding on the last. I remember when there was only one game on here to talk about, Morrowind, and the older games were given a small section for folks to play in. Now we have all these other games and I am sure more are coming. I like that Bethesda is branching out, I just hope they don't grow too big or get to big for their business.

I look forward to the next 10 years, and maybe even be still moderating at that time. For sure I will still be posting.

Been only 4 for me. Man 10 years, that's quite a lot. Wish I could have seen the lore guys during those early years, along with the lore section.

Wow I didn't realize how much tension their was on the site back in the old days and this site actually had Trolls I can't believe that. I guess today it's very friendly compared to the older days. Congrats on the 10 year milestone.

That was a nice read. I enjoyed hearing about some of the forums history.

This was the first forum I decided to join, and I have joined a few since then, but none of them have as good of a community as this one.

I have been hearing quite a lot about m0use.net recently.

What was the internet like back then?

I recently achieved a milestone here, albeit a somewhat minor one, on my http://www.flickr.com/photos/25411109@N05/5616117106/in/photostream (my desktop)....and I saw it fitting to see this as # 3001.

When I joined it didn't take long to recognize Archeopterix as one of the more...er...colorful characters.
I remember only the green screen format, and the endless posts about the Dwemer Puzzle Box.
I never really was a gamer until I discovered Morrowind, and was immediately enamoured with the concept of modding, so I spent a lot of time in the modding forum.
That's the era that induces the most nostalgia for me I suppose.
I laid low for the Oblivion era and came back for Fallout 3.
3000 posts in 8 years doesn't seem like much...There are folks who have 4 and 5 stars with only 2 or 3 years here. Some are far more chatty than me.

But yes, Archeopterix, you are certainly a dinosaur!

Chattier, or spammier? :P Seriously though, I know exactly what you mean.

That would make Hungry Donner an Amoeba swimming around in prehistoric goo.

I was under the impression the working title for TES 3 had been Tribunal, not Mournhold.

You guys should release a list of the worst trolls in the past decade...we could dress it all up like those RDR bounty posters. :P

That was a good read, thanks archie.

Hey Archie, :hugs:

The place has gone through massive changes since I've been here for sure. Some good changes, some bad changes but way more people. I remember when I first came it was easy to know everyone hanging out here. Now it's difficult to know everyone in just one section.

And Archie, you have always been the life of the party.

It was nice to read some of the things you said, it truly does seem to show that history rhymes. The same things sort of repeat on the forums.

I plan to necro this thread on my 10th year on these forums.

First time I heard the name, I thought Archie was some kind of... legend. Like Big Boss, but for moderators instead of soldiers.
