Heyall, I'm sorry if this was already discussed(it always is when I make a topic on a forum), but I was on JE Sawyer's formspring and I saw this!

"Fan: Why'd you imply that Yes Man was going to take over in the Independent ending? After going to all the work to take Vegas over myself it was kind of a bummer to learn Dave Foley was going to take it all away.

JE Sawyer: That's not the implication." DUN DUN DUUUN!

"Fan: Then what is the implication? That seems to be what everyone reads into it-- Yes Man reprogramming himself to be more 'assertive' is kind of ominous!

JE Sawyer: That he will not just roll over for the next person to walk up to him in the Courier's absence. I.e. he will become a somewhat-independent steward instead of a powerful tool for any random person to use for nefarious purposes.

Well well, one of the biggest mysteries in New Vegas has finally been solved. I think it's good that my courier will actually rule Vegas now, instead of having to fight the Skynet-Yes Man.

Agreed. For such a famed and legendary man, with access to hundreds of robots, single handedly fending off most nuclear strikes in the Vegas area, and uniting tribes to rebuild a moneymaking and successful city...

I was extremely disappointed with his security... I mean, seriously, I walked into the penthouse with a bear claw strapped on to my hand, naked, and I easily killed all his guards and got to him with no trouble...

even without rumors of the independent ending... I could see that this was implied. to think that yesman would take over new vegas, is a very narrow minded way to see that ending.

Did you think so? I've only played independent twice, but I personally find that when any characters state that they are going to make themselves a little more (suspicious pause) aggressive without your permission, that's a pretty gigantic indicator that things aren't going to end for the best.

I am now pleased and am about to murder House for almost making me kill the Brotherhood with Blood-nap... Speaking of blood nap, have a good dea- er, nap, Mr. House!
