Clearly it means you went with the wrong faction and should have picked the right one. House

Sorry I haven't read anything, just in case there is spoilers here. Maybe this should be put into the spoiler section. If no spoilers made, then I am sorry. :)

I agree, something should have been done with his ending IF that were meant to be the official ending that will be used for future games and or books (or that stupid C word people love to throw around here). I think that's the exact reason we don't have a "Broken Steel" here, the developers didn't want to be forced into making a commitment on "who won" and being locked in. This way when we get the next Fallout game (assuming it's in NCR terratory) we'll be surprised when we see who the winner was. It's kind of a cliffhanger.

Yes Man's has too many variables. What happens to the securitrons? What does the Courier do? Does he help form an independant nation in the Mojave, runs as its god king emperor, or does he just say "peace out!"? Also, when does Yes Man finish his upgrades? A day? week? A century?

Not really any more than other endings. Also, though you may not necessarily be reading into it, Yes Man programs himself to be more assertive so other people besides you don't tell him to do something and he agrees immediately. I say this because it makes sense and him taking control instead of the Courier is never mentioned in the end slides.

Yes the Courier gets paced out. Yes Man says he will take over ruling Vegas. It's very unlikely that Courier gets a word with how to rule Vegas.

The yes man is an open ending.

Yes man does not take over New Vegas, his statement that he is going to be more assertive is something that can be seen as many things:

The courier rules New Vegas and Yesman no longer does what random x dude tells him, but rather is assertive and sticks to the courier

The courier leaves New Vegas, that is to be ruled by yesman that now can take descions for himself (because the courier choses to)

Yesman rules New Vegas without the courier (not by the couriers choice)

Its a very nice ending, since this ending is a free, crazy, good, evil (insert word that fits your courier here) ending.

In short the yesman ending is whatever the courier wants it to be (as this is the free path).
