Yes it's noisy, and yes it leaves behind piles of green goo.

Like the title says: Yes its noisy and yes it leaves behind piles of green goo.
I am talking about the plasma pistol .

I believe It is the best e-weapon for concealed carry.
I just gooed a praetorian guard using only overcharged cell and no professional perk.
One sneak shot to the head.

16 round clip.
Approx. 40 DAM and -10 DT w/ max charge cells.
Oh yes, improved holdout gun of the week?

Yep. That's why it is an improved holdout weapon.

Man I wish there was a third level say 75-100 sneak,
so you could carry any handgun as concealed carry.

Plasma Defender CCW- if only.

That's why I modded the PD to be an improved holdout weapon. Yeah, it's proven to be a little excessive compared to what the casinos' guards tend to carry, but at least I'm not stuck with a popgun.

That said, arguably the most overkill concealed weapon is the Power Fist, since any fight in the casinos is going to be at short range anyway and odds are very high that the guards will be unable to kill you before you get close enough to use it.

Boxing Tape do the job nicely anyways.

But if you are going to blaze a noisy weapon in the casino, you may as well do it in the entrance.

off topic: anyone knows a mod that removes all people that conceal your weapons from the game? I hate it that every time I enter a casino my weapons aren't hotkeyed any more :c

I think if you kill the guy who takes away your guns, they don't respawn and no one stops you anymore. It works at The Fort; I've not tried it in casinos but it should work. Just sneak-headshot them with a silenced 10mm, or stuff a grenade into their pants.

no, I tried that in casinos but then everyone turns hostile (kind of like how everyone turns hostile at Fortification Hill if you sneak kill Caesar)

I don't think you CAN sneak-kill Caesar. I've experimented in his tent with Sneak 100 and a light armor, and there is no way to hide in there.

Also, Caesar seems to be a special case, like Davison's Brahmin skull; touching him (or possibly his throne) turns Legion hostile even if you don't attack him. But you CAN sneak-kill the guys who take your weapons at the entrance and at the Weather Station, and the Praetorian who doesn't allow you to enter Caesar's tent with your followers in tow, and nobody seems to mind.

yeah, the guys who take your weapons at the casinos are also ''special cases''

Edit: I think I might as well use console commands to kill them actually..

I'd be carefull of console kill commands. I console killed a prosttute to get her outfit in one part of the strip everything was ok zoned into the other area and the robots opened fire. It was definitely related to console killing the npc. Also I console killed Lucius in Caesars tent and everyone went hostile.

^This.

Using the 'kill' console command is not 'silent' and will alert anyone in the vicinity, and unless you have a ridiculous amount of rep with that faction they will attack immediately.

As such, it should generally be reserved for cases where a target glitches and does not die at zero health. True, the vast majority of these have been patched out, but a few are still lurking out there. It can be used on critters with no problems, although doing so with someone's pet dog is going to get you shot at. It should absolutely not be used on quest NPCs, for obvious reasons.
