yes, im sorry, another can i run it

Post » Tue Sep 28, 2010 7:03 pm

I've been following brink for months and simply can't wait for it, but when the pc requirements came out i frowned. I think they may be above my system. Is it possible that i could use console commands or something of the like to make it playable?

My system specs:

processor: pentium dual core t4200 @2.00 ghz
ram: 3gbs
operating system: vista 64 bit
video card: radeon mobility 3650

and its a laptop so... yah

Mine is radeon mobility 5650 in a i5 CPU M430@ 2.27 GHz and 4gb of RAM and i can run games like Crysis 2 in medium settings, probably u can run it but maybe not as smooth as u'd wanted it to be.

I think your biggest issue is having windows Vista rather than anything else m8.

Ok, there's a thing on the main website that says minimum and recommended system specs. I'll stick it in my Sig later on so eveyrone can see it.http://www.brinkthegame.com/features/requirements/

haha yah vista svcks but i dont feel like buying and setting up another os. i can run crysis 2 on medium low at a surprisingly good framrate. slows down every once in a while but more then playable. at least in the demo. Im really hoping for a benchmark, or i may have to shell out 200 bucks for an xbox even though it seems to be at the end of its life.

It does have a couple of bugs in it.

For example, it said that my CPU is below recommended spec - the intel i3 - I've got a i7 QM2630 :)

that test also doesnt recognize the 6k radeon series. I built my comp back in Feb.

AMD Phenom II Black
8GB RAM
Radeon 6850
Windows 7 64 bit
and all of my games running off a solid state hard-drive.

Test said my comp wasn't optimal. Yeah right. I run all my games on max including Crysis 2.

despite my judgement, i let it do its "thing" and gather my system info which is undoubtably being sold to some marketing company as i'm writing this, i cant help but laugh as it showed me this >>>

Recommended: Intel Quad Core i5
You Have: Intel® Core™ i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz >>> Failed

This makes me wonder how reliable this service is, if it doesnt recognize my processor. Unless the i5>i7, which would be a big failing of understanding on my part...

Otherwise, neat service. Quite interesting, this should be stickied on every game form ever. Or atleast a sticky saying "LOOK HERE--- SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR *insert game title*!!!!" but i understand the aprehension of pinning informational topics so i doubt that'll happen. Always nice to think though.
