Thank you very much Bethesda Game Studios for bringing back armor and weapons degradation.
I'm hoping it's for all armor and weapons and not just the Power Armor.

It wouldn't be properly post-apocalyptic if you didn't have to scrounge for ammo and parts to repair your stuff. It's one of the things I love about the series.
I know it's one of the reasons I love playing Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas a lot.
I was expecting Bethesda Game Studios to do to Fallout 4 what they did to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and remove a lot of RPG video game features, but it seems they are keeping armor and weapons degradation in Fallout 4 and I hope it's not only for the Power Armor.
Makes more sense in Fallout than it does Elder Scrolls.
It could possibly be just for power armor for the sake of balancing the game, as this time around it seems they're actually making power armor FEEL like power armor. A degradation system for it would make sense.
I hope that isn't the case and there is a degradation system all around. They're going all out for the post-apocalyptic simulator theme park already with all of the crafting you can do, surely they can fit degradation in there somewhere.
I'm fine with it unless I've to loot 1 hundred rifles in order to maintain mine in good condition...
I'm fine with it as long as it is done properly and balanced. I don't want my weapons break after ten shots like in Fallout 3 and NV.
I've modded that out in 3/NV, I'm not a huge fan of that sort of thing, however it should be in there as I know I'm in the minority. Something else I'm happy to see return, a proper character creator, not Skyrims digital Mr Potatohead system where you mix and match parts to create a freak.
Maybe I missed something, but I didn't see any signs of degradation ... you can mod stuff out the wazoo and there is clearly lots and lots of customization, but I didn't see anything that indicated weapon condition.
I believe the only thing that hinted at it was an option to repair power armor. I don't recall anything else having to do with repairing or degradation.
Go watch the YouTube video again where the Power Armor is showed off look at the left side of your screen where it displays the statistics about the Power Armor one of the top statistics says Health for each piece of the Power Armor.
Yes, the power armor had a health listing, but the weapons did not, and I didn't see any for regular armor.
If the Power Armor has health I'm hoping all armor and weapons in Fallout 4 have health and can break.
This is a post apocalyptic Earth and scavenging exists and you should be able to break broken armor and weapons with other armor and weapons you pick up.
Guys Fallout 4 might have a armor and weapons degradation system after all and not just for Power Armor, but for all armor and weapons. I hope at least.
Fallout 4 might have a armor and weapons degradation system and way more different than what Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas has.
Some pcgamer.com employees are at QuakeCon 2015 and asked some questions about Fallout 4, which some Pete Hines and Todd Howard responded to, but gave very little details or said we will not talk about it yet.
Read the details here.

If it is in the game I suspect it will be based around crafting, and having certain parts/mods of the weapons breaking, lowing things like damage, accuracy, recoil, or w/e that part did, until you make a new part.
I have a feeling that instead of carrying 30 copies of armor and weapons to repair them, the armor and weapons break much slower than in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas and you store everything at your workbench, so when you are ready to repair any armor or weapons you are wearing or have stored at your workbench you can select which ones you want to repair and repair it with the crafting components you pick up in the video game world map of Fallout 4 when you explore the video game world map in Fallout 4.
He said there will be visual inspections of like the weapons you can look at it and see when it gets rusty, etc.
This to me sounds like a way better repair system than what Fallout 3 has and what Fallout: New Vegas has.
What do other people think? Does this sound like a better repair system?
Definitely seems better than in 3 and New Vegas. I'm just wondering if crafting components will have weight.
zzzzzz, boring.
how many hits the Shishkebab can give without degrading a bit? 10? 15?
how many hits you need to kill that broken stell ghoul? 60? 70?
I think and hope that it's only for power armor.
Let's just hope Jury Rigging makes a return as the best Utility Perk in the game.
