What i want to know is why, since the avatar of Akatosh showed up and saved us from Mehrunes Dagon, is he now showing up wanting to eat the world. I say this because as we understand it currently Alduin is Akatosh just the nordic variation. Which makes a sort of sense after all Akatosh's appearance was a dragon/phoenix but if this is so which lore seems to imply our savior is now our mega boss? Im just having a little issue with this looking at oblivion storyline next to what we know of skyrim... i will be very dissapointed if this is not explained.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Alduin

This is the direct quote of what is known so far about him lore wise.

Alduin is the Nordic variation of Akatosh, and only superficially resembles his counterpart in the Eight Divines. For example, Alduin's sobriquet, 'the world eater', comes from myths that depict him as the horrible, rauaging firestorm that destroyed the last world to begin this one. Nords therefore see the god of time as both creator and harbinger of the apocalypse. He is not the chief of the Nordic pantheon (in fact, that pantheon has no chief; see Shor) but its wellspring, albeit a grim and frightening one.[1]
Another legend says that Alduin can "eat" away the age of his victims, and that he once ate the entire Nord population down to age six after being summoned by Orkey.[2]

It's not about "whining complacently" it's about knowing if I can even play the game or not

Its not always about you, ya know.

I'm worried about whether or not they will let you continue after the main quest.
Whether they will go for smaller content packs(DLC for some) or Expansions. The content packs for Fallout 3 did NOT add up to the amount of content of Shivering Isles or Tribunal/Bloodmoon.

Thats all I can think of.

im reallyin interested in the physical differences between the races and how they will handle armour/clothing as i am a very cosmeticaly inclined person i.e. i will not wear even the most helpfull of items if they dont match the character rp or if they look rediculous with what i am wearing

Hearing a dev talk about the character creation system is just exciting.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI5-GZkKBDQ&feature=player_detailpage#t=60s

"The character design in this game has been one of our biggest features we wanted to improve. We really tried to take that in a whole new direction and put a lot more of our effort into the look and feel of the characters. Each race is much more unique than they have been in the past. We want you to look at the races and clearly say 'oh that's a redguard, that's an imperial, that's an orc, that's a breton.' You can tell the difference between all the races. All the races are back. They've been greatly improved. There's a lot more customization than we've had in any previous game for you setting up your character or all the NPCs you need..."

I dunno if your're being serious, if you are, then that DLC bit was a joke...

This actually happened it was a todd howard interview with IGN and they asked him joke questions and he responded with 300$ for levitation DLC.
