I yield/ I surrender = BROKEN

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 10:32 pm

Is just me or has anybody actually got somebody to actual Yield/surrender?

I have yet to have anybody actually surrender to me.. Even if I try quickly put my weapon away.. They still get up and continue to attack.. WTF?
It worked in oblivion..

Oh oh I know.. " I yield, I surrender, but then I took arrow in the knee? " LOL that why they don't work? :P

There is no surrender mechanic in the game. The game just assumes you want to kill everybody.

Well, have you ever heard the story about the frog and the scorpion? For the most part you're fighting bandits or necromancers or other kinds of people who generally aren't well known for their high moral character, so what do you expect?

There are some instances where you get someone to surrender to you, but it's quest related.

I've gotten a few surrenders to properly work.

I wish when enemies surrendered to you they wouldn't immediately jump back into battle though. You should be able to spare their miserable lives. Maybe just spit on them a little...

I've been able to yield to people and have had people yield to me. When they have almost no health left and they say I yield talk to them and they'll surrender. If you don't they'll start hacking at you again in like a minute.

You can yield to guards by unequipping your weapons. But if you get most people to submit to you, trying to end the fight peacefully will cause them to attack you again.

I've had numerous enemies successfully surrender to me. The thief enemies you encounter on the side of the road for example, they always surrender when there health gets low. Just make sure you put your weapon away when they wield.
