You are over-encumbered.

Any word on if you are only slowed when you are over the weight limit rather than stopped? I think it would be nice if it had a thing like in D&D where if you have X amount of weight you are slowed but if you have Y you are stopped.

In Fallout 3 you could still walk (instead of run) if you were overencumbered. It was a much better way of handling it than nailing you to the spot IMO, so it would be good to have it work the same way in Skyrim.

Nothing has been said yet though.

Meh. i was indeed dumb stuff in oblivion.
IMO - more that you carry more damaged will be your fatigue from fatigue usage abilitys. And at some point i guess being paralyzed of heaviness is making sense

Nobody has unlimited movement ability.

When you are over-encumbered you should stop.

Up til that point you should slow down gradually in relation to what you're carrying.

I think the more over-encumbered you are the smaller your stamina bar should be, up to the point where you have no stamina and stop moving.

Im Sick of being Over Encumbered, you should walk and struggle of carrying to much weight, not froze to the spot because you are heavy.

I also want to be able to hide my stuff somewhere without the Game Deleting it, just because i took a nap.

When i start the Game, im gonna look through the UESP Site about Feather stuff and do a cross country picking up Ingredients.

I think if you are over encumbered you should be able to call on a dragon to come and take your stuff to a store...

On a more serious note, I think you should freeze to the spot. YES it is annoying, but it is more realistic! I mean in Fallout 3 and NV I was about to get around 300 pounds more of equipment than I should have then still (really slowly) crawl my way back to a merchant, its ridiculous.

I'm happy with the system in place.

No need to fix something that isn't broken.

I like the idea of walking VERY slowly when overencumbered, and not being able to fast travel, just so if you're going between shops to trade gear or near a city/home you don't have to drop and carry things one-by-one.

Would be best if the character was just forced to slow down. Like, walk or slow walk.
As long as it's not like in Oblivion I'm pretty much fine with anything.

You want to be able to carry twenty thousand daedric warhammers and still be okay for walking? Everyone should have some sort of limit.

True, but when are you going to have that much weight, unless you collect such items? You should be able to walk with most of the MAJOR loot from a dungeon, so if you're patient enough, you won't have to make multiple trips. But eventually you should come to a halt if you walk for too long or go over a second weight limit.

slowing would be good, but as long as they make you significantly slowed, and maybe have combat penalities too, people should still have to be careful about watching their bags.

I would want the PC slowed for X amount of weight, and stopped for Y amount. It would mean that they could not continue on with a heavy weight once their strength buff had expired... The only thing though, is that they must fix the problem of not being able to drop inventory items. In Oblivion you could be over encumbered and at the same time, be told that there was not enough room to drop an item where you were standing; which meant you were stuck, unless you were able to 'eat' your extra weight by consuming food and/ or potions.

Agree and indeed. Fo3 style would be great, perhaps making you completely immobile as in OB if you have twice/three times as much stuff as you can carry?

But Gizmo, I've never ever had that problem and I've played OB much much over 1000 hours on many many characters.

Yeah, just gradually slowing until you reach your final encumberance limit.

I don't know. The amount of stuff you can carry is already unrealistic, so I really don't see a point in a system that sets a limit to carrying capacity for the sake of realism.

I was certainly never immersed by being not able to move due to me somehow carrying 8 armor sets, and 1 hourglass is why I cant move.

I would rather encumbered = you can't run or regenerate Stanima (sitting duck in combat) and you cannot fast travel. This would be much better than being ''stuck''.

I want to see realistic encumbrance limits with constant slowing up to that point. If, for instance, we presume that a character with 50 strength can carry 100 pounds comfortably, then carrying 101 would slow him just a fraction. It would undoubtedly be such a small effect that you wouldn't even notice it, but the game would represent it faithfully. And it would have a noticeable cumulative effect - each additional pound should slow him a fraction more until he can't move at all.

Just shift-click on items in your inventory and you'll drop them anyway.
