But of course there are so many things he could have done other than shooting you in the head, mezzing, stun nading, trankin'. Idk I don't think I'm going to use any reasoning with this guy/gal, my game characters are usually quite merciless and slow to forgive.

Ah, well I like to immerse myself and make my character a 'How I would feel and react' I usually look at it from deep angles. Usually they end up in forgiveness, even if I disagree. Take Eden, I agreed his plan was best for pure strain humanity, but I don't see the cost worth the object. It's all a matter of semantics. Some say kill, I say 'Let's talk this out like gentlemen'

I may not be of similar logic but I do basically create characters in image of my self, like if I was in the Fallout world I would make such decisions, and then I act. It may be a show of character to turn the cheek but you have to think that in a world like Fallout it's better to have a hard reputation rather than that of a "pushover".

Oh well theres a difference between being a pushover and just having a businesslike attitude. IMO talking earns more caps than bullets.

The way I see it, we just had the misfortune of being THAT ONE he shoots. It could have been any other soul in the world, and you were dealt the short straw. It would have happened either way IMO.

Yah, well he sure is one unlucky guy seeing as I'm going to deal with him in a particularly brutal fashion. You know the scene in taken when he tortures the guy with the electricity? Ya, he's lucky that may not be possible.

Well from what I could tell from a little snippet from the story interview, you might be inclined to spare Benny because the whole thing is much much bigger than just you and him. He did at least give you the courtesy of explaining why you're all tangled up in this. I'm probably going to spare him.

Well he stole what you had and sense you saw his face you would go back to who ever it was that employed you tell said person what happened then he would have died. It was in his best interest to try and kill you

Shoot me in the head? And bury me? In a shallow grave?

I'm not okay with getting shot at, and I'm not okay with some half-assed burial.

I guarantee, my playthrough, he'll be dead yesterday. I'm gonna drop a round into his leg, shoot his gun out of his hands, and put two shots in HIS dome. Fair is fair.

First of all, I'm a huge fan of his voice actor. That alone wants me to keep him alive long enough to hear more lines.

Second, well...there's no second. I'll probably kill him after all is said and done, he just has a prolonged life.

I do like to play devils advocate so how many random people are you going to waste on your path to revenge for this one man

What if you wake up to a gun from some guy you thought you shot in the head and bam gameover

Im not saying dont kill him im just saying by the time you get to him youll have alot more blood on your hands than he on his

I haven't read the thread because I gather the bulk of the community knows who shot the player, but I do not and don't want to know.

I imagine I'll kill them, unless it turns out they had no choice but shot me in such a way that I had a chance to survive.

I don't think my face has contorted into such horror since I saw the Super Mutant ball gag bit in Fallout 2. :shocking:

I've always tried to adhere to the philosophy of "It's not personal, it's business." besides I only kill finks, and something tells me Benny isn't a fink.

Now, I'm all for forgiveness. If someone apologizes to me, I forgive them and let bygones be bygones.

However, if that person was the one that shot me in the head and buried me? No, I'm sorry. He's forfited his right to exist.

There's an old saying. 'An eye for an eye just makes the whole world blind'. I can see the logic in that. He might have had his reasons. If you shoot him and walk away, it'll just mean you sunk to his level. I, for one, am not going to lower myself and be a simple con with a gun that thinks only of revenge and profit. I'm not going to shoot him.

Nope.

I'm gonna use a throwing spear.

Hey Hey Hey look at it this way he buried you in a shallow grave this way if someone happened to come by they could save you unlike if you were buried the right way....

Well at least I like to think that I mean sure my first play through I'll let him live only cause I want to see how everything will be with that first but I'm in the strong belief that an "eye for an eye" is fair so two shots in the head for two shots in the head buried in the grave you built me yourself and a quick spit on it is just natural...

I will seriously drag his dead body to where I was shot if possible of course. :flame:

The end does not justify the means. Meaning, "hello mister shooter, have you met Betsy, my beloved plasma rifle?"

Oh, and the "eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" was Ghandi. We all know where that got him. Yep. Three bullets in the chest. Just on a sidenote...

Yes, exactly! :D Nah, but I'd still have severe issues with a person who'd shot me in the head and then buried me. Bit less than if he'd just shot me, but still quite severe.

"Feral brutes" is such an ugly term...

I'd prefer thinking of it as "tying up loose ends".

There's no denying there's some unfinished business between Shooter and yourself, so, you may as well be the one to finish it.
