And yet through it all, as I went about, all I could think was "gee, this reminds me of Cyrodiil." I had a strong urge to play Oblivion all day, although I've kind of been suppressing Elder Scrolls urges lately so that Skyrim will prove to be even more of an enjoyment once it's finally out. I suppose it's not anything out of the ordinary to associate different things with one another, but I have plenty of friends who'd probably call me mad for likening something as general as the springtime to a computer game. Of course, my fondest memories of Oblivion are when I first got it in the springtime, and Cyrodiil itself always leaves me longing for its return.
Thinking about it, I have this issue with the other games too. The wintertime, especially when it's snowing, reminds me heavily of Daggerfall. Probably because of that wonderful memory of finally escaping Privateer's Hold and finding yourself on the city streets in the middle of a beautiful winter. Plus there's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZ97I2p4_YY. Morrowind reminds me of the autumn, because the land itself feels ancient and very "magical".
Have any of you ever likened your TES experiences to the seasons, or anything equally mundane?
