You become your Courier. How do you relax?

Post » Thu Sep 15, 2011 12:20 am

After a hard day of looting old ruins, getting bit in the ass by geckos, and getting into a gunfight, we all need a way to relax. What's your idea of relaxing?

Mine would be putting on my best suit, taking a boot in the Tops restaraunt and just kicking back and relaxing with a nice Brahmin Steak. :disguise:

Couple of beers in some isolated shack.

Raul's Shack would suite my needs.

Sharpening/maintaining my power fists and blades. and picking buckshot and shells out of my Armor, and Adding any new pieces of "Trophies" to my Armor.

Then go check out the Arena and see what little Slaves are killing each other and sip on some Atomic Cocktails

Well I suppose on my previous courier, I'd catch a show at The Tops, a meal at the Ultra-Lux. Maybe spend some time with Sarah in Vault 21. Maybe go to the Thorn to bet on some fights. That be what I do as Jack on my House playthrough.

On my current character Ayame.... I don't think I could relax after becoming that Courier.

If I were Claudia Hunter, I'd relax by returning to the Strip and Lucky 38, the center of my personal empire.
If I were Troy Hunter, I'd relax by finding a nearby bunker and shut it tight from the inside. Can't bee too paranoid.
If I were ex-Colonel Autumn, I'd NEVER rest, NEVER rest. For soon, this great nation will be reborn and the I will be its salvation!
If I were Justine Hunter, I'd relax by getting wasted at the Atomic Wrangler and enjoying its variety of... entertainment...

EDIT: And no, I don't regularly imagine myself as a woman.

Preferably I'd grab Boone and Veronica out of the Lucky 38 and we'd go hang out at The Tops for awhile and relax, maybe catch a show at The Aces. After that we could just all walk around on the strip and take in the lights at night.

Red Lucy...I'll let you guys fill in the rest.

Not the most easygoing gal. Not the most comfortable housing, too, and you can't stay overnight. Sarah Weintraub is much more fun.

For sheer relaxing, though, nothing beats camping out at dusk on the shore of Lake Las Vegas, near Camp Golf. Chief Hanlon is right; there's something awe-inspiring about watching the sun set over a body of water...

I like that gritty bad girl stuff. Sarah is a little too flaky, not bad for a drive-by though.

And yes you can spend the night at Lucy's. Although I think she stays in her quarters, after you go back there the first time. I guess that means no more betting on fights. Hmmm...I need to check on that.

EDIT : What ever the case, I think the OP was basing this on the assumption of you actually being the courier, rather than in-game mechanics and gameplay. Given that, I can easily see myself visiting the Thorn, rolling a few caps on some fights and then rolling a few caps on Red Lucy in a fight of our own...then... :snoring:

My idea of relaxation is sniping fiends and powder gangers. Nothing passes the time better than taking out the garbage. Although I do enjoy the occasional Nuka-Cola.

Sit back and relax in the Lucky 38 or gamble in New Vegas.

I'd be taking a stroll around the Wastes with my hammer and shotgun for a little bit of hunting, nothing like catching your dinner then eating it while chilling on my sofa in Harper's PapaFern's Shack

Reloading the empties, skinning the coyotes/dogs, and cleaning the geckos.

After that, it's gecko steak and beer for dinner.

Then it's setting the mines and makeshift traps around the shack.

Then sleep.
