So I've done Jamison and declined to do Gun Runners, now all that remains is buying out Cassidy Caravans, this is where the trouble starts.

I've exhausted every possible dialogue option with her and yet Cass refuses to budge. Worse, I need to complete Birds of a Feather, and when I try to bring Cass to Freeside she mentions no objection and the dialogue ends.

What I'd like to know is:

1) Will I need minimum 50 Barter/Speech to complete the first quest?
2) Does Cass count as a follower for the trip to Freeside: Would I have to dismiss Boone first?

1. no i dont think so, i didnt have either my first play through and still got her to join me.

2. yes she does count as a follower, you will have to dismiss boone. that could be the problem.

well i was stuck there too until now, looks like the b!tch wont sell so she's gotta die!!!

The only option I got was to pass the speech/ barter check. I don't think there is other way to make her sell business and be your companion.

I'm having the same issue. It's not that I don't have the stats, but the option simply never comes up in dialogue. I've tried several times. Let Boone go too, nothing.

You must have positive karma to get her to follow you and the quests related to her.

If your just trying to complete Birds of a Feather you can just stealth kill her. It may also help if you've cleared the road for Ranger Jackson.

Cleared the road, got good karma, got the quest to ask for the trade, got rid of Boone, and still nothing.

Recheck all the dialog options there may be a new choice behind an option you've already picked.
