You Can Forge Any Weapon Except....

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 1:26 am

A bow for us archers.

I go to the companion guy and there is an option, "You have a weapon for me,"

He replies, "Yes, you're officially a companion now. I can forge any weapon for you."

But the only weapons he can forge are warhammers, battleaxes, and swords. Erm....so you cannot forge any weapon.

Bows? BOWS!

Companions don't use bows, they are real warriors, you can't bash a puny goblins face in with a bow.

well you dont really "forge" a bow. techniically he is wrong, but he shouldnt really have to specify " i can forge any weapon made by a forge".

of course, in skyrim you do forge bows because they dont really fit under any other crafting system, so i guess you have a good point :spotted owl: .

Skyrim needs a crafting table similar to Minecraft. Use it to craft bows, arrows, and maybe even a weak wooden shield(think LoZ).

Leave it to bethesda to add in a weapon crafting system and then completely neglect the ability to craft bows and arrows, and then remove the spell crafting system.

Fail, bethesda, fail!

But why not be able to craft arrows and lockpicks, that's what I don't get. Except that maybe one ore would produce like 1000 lockpicks, and it wouldn't matter how hard the lock was.

I would have like a Skyforge Bow.

I mean technically you have the Nightingale Bow to signify you're in the Nightingales as well as the Blade.

I need a Companion Bow.

It's a well known fact that the only reason they let Aela in is because of her looks. Not because she's a good warrior.

I think that later on, you can make a Nord Hero Bow. That thing should be just below an Ebony bow in damage, making it a very solid choice of weapon.

Doesn't matter, even though you are right. "If it's not Dadric it's crap!", is often implied here.

Tell that to the Argonian that I'm going to make, and put in solid Dwarven. He's gonna be the Dwemer Lizard of the Depths, and go diving in the oceans for hidden stuff! All because Dwarven gear looks like it could be environmentally sealed. ;)

But yeah, no Skyforged Steel Bow. And I don't think Eolund will make maces for you either. He's a slashing-weapon elitist!

I wear light armor though.

And was going for a more rugged hunter look.
