So you can get on a ship with a minigun?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 5:56 am

In the e3 showcase, it showed the character getting on the ship and attaching himself to a minigun. I was wondering do you think you can kill the pilot and drive the ship or do you think they just take you places for quest, or help you travel around.

You seem to be calling in the vertibird so I'd assume it comes as a bonus to joining some faction.....it looks like you can use the minigun on route.

Whether you can call in the vertibird at any time or if it is linked to specific quests is another question.

That was probably the most ridiculous and over the top thing I've seen in Fallout. I really hope we can ignore it.

it may be a logical choice. if the map is huge (supposedly twice the size of skyrim ive heard) it could be the new form of fast travel.

I get a vibe of the horse wagons in skyrim, but with the updated freedom of summoning it (almost) anywhere.

It's close to the fallout mod where you summon the vertibird, um also the thing you throw looks like its from call of duty with the red smoke, but its still really a great thing for this game.

I did and I didn't mean the idea but the implementation. It reminded me of playing Battlefield or Call of Duty.

There are no statements about map-size. The only hint we had was in that one leak on Reddit a few years back, and that one has been shown to be completely false tonight.

The funny thing about calling that chopper in was using a flare and not a faction radio or the one in your pipboy.

Eh, Fallout has always been a little silly at times. What's more important to me is they handle how you get this properly and make you work for it. They probably won't, it'll either be available 1/2 way through the MQ or after one quest. Ideally, it'd be the final reward for a long questline. Or you could build it yourself.

That said, if they give me a vertibird why no go ahead and let me get a zepplin too.

The flare is typical used to mark the exact spot, useful even if you are on radio with the chopter Has the bonus of showing the ground wind direction and strength.

you are right. they didnt state the size of the map. But people did their own extensive research and im kind of basing it off of that.

Some people like playing the lone wolf. Myself included on top of the fact that I nearly always play stealthy characters. In most play throughs I never use companions and always try to work alone, so having a huge flying vehicle transport you around is out of that character

Is a cool feature for certain characters not so much for others

You can choose to ignore it all together... just an optional feature....
