You cannot play the way you want

Most of the people will use group search, in that case there wont be pr0 players with you on instance and while dealing dmg they will get agro for sure, and its not about if you are dmg dealer melee or ranged. MMO games going into way where players need to be more active than stand in one place and tank boss while there is heal and dmg dealer on side. This game shows that you wont stand in one place, you need to run around, deal some dmg, and whats very important dodge bosses aoe. So prepar for fights where boss got random target skill cast(aoe) and game where you need to be more dexterous than tanky(that will be only advantage).
I think healing that bunch of mess will be the hardest job( I will play healer).

Please cite your references for the class.

BS. I played PLENTY dungeons as a leather wearing, 2 handed melee sorc and it all worked out wonderfully.

So, you haven't done any group content in beta, yet you make a thread about you can't play the way you want? You have got to be kidding me!

Last beta I was in I tried playing a sorc with a two handed sword/axe/maul. If you would have been doing a dungeon run with me you would only have known that I was a sorcerer once I used my sorcerer skills. Otherwise you would have seen me running around with a 2 handed sword/axe/maul and you would have never thought at first that I was a sorcerer. I was also wearing a mix of medium and heavy armor.

So, let's say you haven't sailed around the world, yet you know all about it?

I really hope you are in EB or AD so I can kill you in Cyrodiil without you even knowing what hit you.

I would also strongly suggest you go to the official ESO website and read their ESO's Veteran Content article in which they explain a bit more what they mean with "play the way you want".

To make it a bit easier for you, here's the link: http://elderscrollsonline.com/en-uk/news/post/2014/03/26/esos-veteran-content

Perhaps (and it really is arguable), but only as a primary tank. The argument is whether you can play how you want. If you want to be a primary tank, then you should spec that way. If you want to be an off-tank as a secondary role to your DPS, you can spec that way as well. What you can't do, which I think should be rather obvious, is spec full-on 100% DPS in cloth robes with a destruction staff and expect to last as the primary tank against endgame and elite bosses.

A lot of folks on this particular forum have not actually played the game. So this is why you see the idiotic and naive posts like the OP's here.

Anyone who has actually gotten in deep enough and done enough of the ESO tanking knows that aggro isn't about spamming AoE dmg, it's about vicinity, crowd control, limited taunting and even kiting. They would also be aware of synergies, what they do and when to use them. or to go further know that controlling a larger fight is everyone's responsibility and not just relying on the tank.

So while it's cute that the OP wants attention, his complaints are based on NOT playing the dungeons, NOT getting past even level 30, let alone to a veteran rank and NOT meant to be a positive post requesting actual feedback. He's a troll and we get at least a few a day who only wish to cause strife and controversy.

+1 internet troll.

I entirely disagree with OP. We did Banished Cells around lvl 13-15 with no healer at all. Just one dps sorcerer, one dps dragonknight, one unspecialized dragonknight that couldve been considered a dps I guess, and one unspecialized templar that couldve been considered a tank.

And no the templar didnt tank at all. Or heal.

Lol if your a dual wielding Dragon knight I'm pretty sure you're not going to be told to stand back

Also Tamriel foundry ran a dungeon with a light armor destro staff dragon knight who was using his immense magic pool and undaunted skill to tank.

Tamriel foundry players are far from casuals.

If everyone could do well no matter how [censored] their build is, then if someone makes a good build, he will find the game to be completely easy (because it would be balanced around the [censored] builds). The game would be actually punishing for people that want to make things right.

Hybridization has it's advantages and it's disadantages. The plus side is that you manage to cover more ground than a especialized character, but in consecuence, you will never be the best in something in particular. It has always been like that and it HAS to be that way. You simply can't have everything.

TLDR: If you want to play an hybrid character, you have to accept the fact that there will always be better people than you for DPS, Tanking and healing.
