So hardware that is 5 years old is ancient? Now if the xbox 360 was from 776 BC then you would be right. I think you mean the xbox 360 has older hardware then a PC?

Tech gets outdated in 2 years. Or less.

Its not our fault they have to throw false statistics around to defend their ancient hardware. We just want a game that isn't based on 5 year old tech, same reason for hate on apple and any other company that preys on the ill-informed.

Why do people give even the smallest of sh*ts? I honestly don't understand why people get so worked up over this, time and again. Do you all have shares in microsoft or sony or something? I play on the pc, if some random person on the internet were to tell me that PC's become sentient while I sleep and eat children, why on earth would I, or anyone, care?

There's always been a huge gap between PCs and consoles, new or old.

Since when did graphics matter? Wasn't it all the rage not long ago for people to rage about games being "too much graphics, not enough substance"? Then you get a game with a TON of substance, that just happens to be "held back" by consoles, and everyone rages about the lack of graphics instead.

Not all people are one person. It's still all the rage for people to say graphics don't matter - they're wrong, of course. Atmospherically speaking, graphics are the most vital component, and atmosphere is a major component to the overall feel of a game, and can literally make or break it - just like gameplay can. However, there have always been sane people, who don't make such ridiculous comments as "One part of game development is irrelevant". There are always idiots, too - it's just the way of things.

In technology terms, last year's tech is old, three years ago is outdated, and 6 years? Ancient is correct. Different words have different meanings in different contexts - 100 years ago is in the immediate past to a historian, and may as well have been yesterday to a paleontologist.

Let's clear some things up:

There are drastically more TES players on consoles than PC. We may not comprise 90%, but we are the majority. Deal with it.

What do you want us to do about MS and SY not releasing new consoles? It's not our fault MS and SY desire 10yr life cycles for their consoles. And PC users can't whine about old tech. Most of you don't want to upgrade your PCs or are too broke.

Let's say Skyrim was PC exclusive, like Crysis. How many of you could even run it when it came out? What were Crysis' sales figures? How much profit did Crytek make?
Why do you think Crytek is now focusing on consoles?

You are just wrong. Go read up on some current hardware. Also, if you think PC gaming is too expensive you are living in the past. A PS3 was 600$ when it came out, current capable gaming PCs are sub 500$. go get an 8800 GTX from how long ago? Tell me that it cant max out almost every game from currently.
