If you could add a faction to Fallout what would it be?

I thought it would be interesting to find out what kind of factions people would like to see in the Fallout series :gun:

How about a non corrupt version of the NCR? I wouldn't mind seeing that.

Americans equate communism = fascism. It is possible to have a communist state with social justice.

Capitalism is a system that brainwashes its citizens to support the very system that victimizes them.

I agree, in theory communism could realy work.look at Cuba, there doin alright, and China. It's just in the past with the Soviet Union that it didnt go so well, and there were many reasons for that not working.

People mix up communism and socialism, they assume one is the same. Me I believe in Democracy, but do not believe in Capitalism. Nothing good comes from it, the rich stay rich and powerful and the poor stay poor and unheard. The NCR are old world values, Pre-War, Democracy and Capitalism. I like the NCR, it's just a game. If say FO4 had a socialist faction they would be made the bad guys, because America associate socialism and bad.

It's just a game and this thread is on it's way to being locked, because talking politics always end with an off topic argument.

Yes a communiust faction would be great, and would be a great oppurtunity to show a WORKING communist society.
Even better, YOU are the one to make it work, by killing a corrupt leader (Like Stalin, Mao or animal farm's Napoleon)

Hmmm, now I accualy have no sugestion since mine was taken =P

Edit: Accualy, a socialist faction would be better, but you know what I mean ;D

Aye your ryt, good point.
They could maybe have a region under NCR control that becomes unstable and a revolution of a communist nature ensues

I think very many Cubans and Chinese would disagree with you. I mean, why do you think Cubans try to get to the US on makeshift rafts and why do you always hear of Chinese demonstrations that are forcibly put down by the government?

But to be on point here, I think it is a very likely progression to have some form of NCR split. Just look at the in game dialogue options where NCR citizens are not happy with their government.

NCR.

The New Carolina Republic.
Except with a different name.
They are the most powerful force in the wasteland. And the consummate good guys.

In economical terms i mean. China is (i think) now the worlds leading economical power. If the countries were as broken down as the USSR you would have civil wars and uprisings. However, im not saying that this won't happen in the future.

Getting back on topic, there could possibly be a faction whose true goal is to help the people of the wasteland. Think a militaristic followers of the apocolypse, that is commanded by uncorrupt leaders.

Then that would be boring. Corruption, scandals and six are what make the best stories. An incorruptible would make a rather 2D character.

In New Vegas?
Idunno, Set and whoever he runs with?

I'd actually love to see a raider band that use the raider iconclast armor from The Pitt in FO3 and only use flamers/Incinerators.
Imagine getting caught off guard by them, fire every where! :D

Or Shi.
Shi would've been awesome.

True, but having them opposing another faction, possibly several, that had deeper/darker goals, then it would create a struggle that could prove interesting. They could start off as a small, kind of guerrula tactics faction that ends up assimilating towns(though not as violent as the legion) and becoming stronger.Kind of mirroring the start of the NCR i imagine but they could branch off in a different direction.

They could themselves the F'n 451s and when they are not roasting folks for food they burn pre-war books in their spare time. Actually, a shadowy faction similiar to the Dark Brotherhood in TES might be interesting.

I remember hearing from the devs before New Vegas was released that Vulpes was going to have a Dark Brotherhood kinda questline.
Wonder whatever happened to that...
