If you could be any character...

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 8:33 pm

If you could be ANY character in Fallout 3(besides the lone wanderer) who would it be? DLCs, main game, added mods, anything that has characters! If it is a character from an added mod please describe the person and link the mod if you could!

Personally I would be the original Gary from Vault 108(you know, the one with a bunch of clones)

Why? Because I would like to know what happened to him and how they cloned him perfectly, was it against his own will? Did he opt for it? Just makes me wonder!

Now how about you?

I think (for some reason) I would like to be Ashur, he has good motives even though he as to do some bad things to achieve them.

If not I would like to be Elder Lyons because I think I could solve his issues for him.

Probably Colonel Autumn, so I could actually do things logically, like, you know, destroying the Citadel as soon as the Brotherhood was discovered instead of completely ignoring them.

I have always wondered that, also disappointed on how I couldn't join the Enclave in the game...

I would be Colonel Autumn and do the following things:

- Assassinate President Eden and rule over the Enclave as a military junta until things get better.
- When capturing the Lone Wanderer, beat that damn code out of him/her. If s/he wishes to co-operate, allow it.
- Capture Wasteland cities instead of blocks of sand with my vast army, and possibly train Enclave fanatics for a Wasteland militia to fight alongside Enclave troops
- Abandon the FEV, forget the Purifier for now, attack the Citadel.
- If and when the Brotherhood is gone, force the remainder of Wasteland settlements to accept Federal Authority.
- Ban firearms from civilians in Enclave-controlled areas, except of the aforementioned militias.
- Exterminate dangerous genetic defects like Super Mutants. Do not massacre Ghouls, just send them away on the threat of execution to preserve local support. Too much mutated locals will be spared but sterilized.
- Restart Project Purity.
- Work to reincorporate genetically acceptable Wastelanders to the United States government, though make preparations for future eugenics programs to preserve Pure human DNA.
- When all of the Capital Wasteland is under my control, hold democratic elections (Wastelanders won't be allowed to vote, though). I will win of course, being the only remarkable candidate, but I need to prepare my people for the time I'm gone.

Either an Enclave scientist or an Enclave Officer that isn't on the front lines or holed up in a wasteland camp.

Although if we are talking about anyone, I'd be someone with the ability to make Eden and Autumn work out a compromise so that any sort of internal squabble is extinguished. Although I'd much prefer if Eden's plan was used, either one is preferable if it means getting rid of division.

I'd be Mayor Macready in Little Lamplight. I could say whatever I want to whoever I wanted, and they couldn't do anything because killing kids is a no no in the Fallout world

Except I'd hit 16 sooner or later.. Then I'd take a detour from Big Town and head down to Megaton. Its all sorted out!

Desmond.

He's the coolest [censored] fallout character there is. End of story.

Plus he has a cool background, and has a list of people from the old world that he needs to hunt down and kill.

Ghoul in a suit and sniper rifle who lives in a mansion? Yes please!

Paladin Hoss. That way after some teenage hero-wannabe assists me in Falls Church I can haunt them for the rest of their journey. I'll do this by randomly appearing and then running off into the sunset only to appear again at a later time no matter where they're at

Agreed, though I resent the FEV plan as I like Autumn view it as too excessive. Whatever is the numbers the Enclave currently has, it's most certainly insufficient to support a continuing human population especially if we want to re-create the 300-million-people United States. Going through such a bottleneck would be devastating, with a considerable risk of inbreeding and hereditary disorders.

That said I'd happily keep Eden ruling the Enclave but he is far too stubborn with his genocide plans. It was a good idea back in 2242, but now it's just not viable.

I disagree of course, but that's a discussion for another thread.

Regardless, I would go along with Autumn's plan if it meant the Enclave remained unified.

Although I don't particularly like him, Allistair Tenpenny has the sweetest setup in the Wasteland, massive, opulent, undamaged pre-war hotel ( with zero rad water ) with his own private army and income. Being him would be my choice.
With the right type of hard nosed ass-hole running the show ( ME! ) it would have cornered the clean water market long before Purity.

Being Dukov has it's appeals but his place looks insecure against random mutants kicking the door in and breaking up the party.
On the plus side, I would get to call everyone 'clownshoes'.

I was thinking about Tenpenny, but he's too old so I'm going to go with Mr. Burke. He's more or less Tenpenny's right hand man so I'd have to assume he'll be set for life. Maybe takeover the empire when Tenpenny finally kicks the bucket.

True, he is 80 and I did think about that being a bad thing, but then I realised, Hey!, he's 80!!!, practically immortal in Fallout for a non ghoul.
His life didn't start when the Lone Wanderer turned up, so in theory, you have lived all those years too, I just think he could have done more with all that time rather than just taking random pot shots at passers by and having some sort of Mr Burns / Smithers type thing going on with Burke lol

Dang, instantly after reading the title of this thread I was thinking, "Definitely Ashur, he's coolest NPC in the game." And then the second post is that. But If I were to not pick Ashur I would probably go with Allistair Tenpenny. Not for his personality but his vast wealth and ownership of TP towers.

Definetly Lucas Simms. He's so cool. A badass sheriff, who even has an old western sorta lifestyle. Hell, I tinker with Fallout 3 so much...in my very own Fallout 3 storybook, I gave Harden an older brother, named Gabriel and I have used Gabriel throughout my Fallout 3 experience...him being the lone wanderer, in my travels. I even have made an intro sort-of book, with him. Here's the link if you're interested, partner.

http://www.bookemon.com/read-book/144232

It's a fine intro.

I'd love to hear stories passed down, time by time from others as well. Lucas Simms stands out to me, though. Reminds me alot of myself. As for now, have the legend live on. Bye partner.

Tough one. Gut instinct says Charon, though really I'd prefer Roy Philips.

But on reflection, I say Roy.

I don't know who I would want to be but I have no doubt that if I suddenly found myself zapped inside the game, I would end up being Moira. Punishment for the hundreds of times I've shot her, hit her, frenzied her, exploded her pants, made her less fleshy, gooified her, ashified her, sold her to Paradise Falls, paralyzed her, etc etc etc.

I don't want to be Moira :ahhh:
