If you could go anywhere in DLC...

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:27 pm

While I'd like to see Akavir, I highly doubt it, because of all the Akaviri races and lack of Tamriellic races there. I'd love to see every Daedric realm done to the high standard of Sheogorath's Madhouse, especially Azura's rose palace and Vaermina's sounds interesting as she's the Prince of Nightmares. But I would love to see the Summerset Isles. I think it's Alinor with buildings like insect wings. It sounds breathtaking anyway. I wanted this game to be set in the Summerset Isles. The syndicates of wizards seems intriguing... plus great villains who aren't deities of some kinds always seem to be Altmers for some reason.

Yeah, Akavir, it's relevant to the story as well.

I would like to see some of the other deadric realms.... The Wild Hunt would be a really cool one, I would enjoy that so much you have no idea. It would certainly be something different, which I would really prefer over a revisit of something we have already seen like Solstheim. Things like the other provinces... in full I think are best left to entirely new games. A DLC would not be enough to justice to any of the other provinces. I like the smaller DLC's that they do as well. Why not add several more large and challenging dungeons? I love having new things to explore and for those poor people who are stuck with consoles I think many smaller, mod like DLC's are a nice thing to have.

As for the next games I am all for Elsweyr or Argonia but I think Akavir will probably be saved for a much later one like 8 or something. It is an entire other continent not just another "country."

Not to mention the fact that they would have to add in the other races, which honestly makes me believe we'll never have a full game in Akavir, only an expansion of some sort (if that). Plus, anyone from Tamriel would be despised and eviscerated in every province but Tang Mo, and maybe Ka Po' Tun (although even that's debatable).

An expansion is either on disc format, or it is a type of DLC since you have to download it online if you dont get a disc. DLC covers everything from horse armour to the shivering isles (lol, horse armour). Shivering isles is an expansion, horse armour is not. they all fall under DLC.

Truth.
And I honestly think if we get to play through Akavir at any great length it will probably be a second "series" of Elder Scrolls. When all the major provinces of Tamriel have been covered and the major events exhausted, then perhaps we will play through Akavir as one of the races from there, maybe even invading Tamriel..... Who knows, but I would be disappointed to see Akavir just relegated to a minor DLC or expansion.

Akavir... isn't that like the size of Tamriel?
It would just... never work as a DLC, not even as a game of itself
Would be absolutely cool though to see in the future, but definitely not now in Skyrim.

Morrowind.
I would love to see the deserted city of vivec and explore wastelands like that. And it would be interesting with the Dunmer being refuges and Argonians taking over.

Alinor. My Altmer wants to ask the folks which of them passed on the Dragonborn gene, hopefully with a very good explanation of why they didn't think to mention this little detail of the ancestry earlier.

I don't understand people wanting Solstheim or other regions Bethesda has already portrayed for us. Even if it is with a new game engine and 200 years into the 4th era, there's SO much more that we haven't seen yet, why retread old ground?

With that said, I would personally love to see a bit more of mainland Morrowind (Blacklight, remnants of the Dres and Indoril Houses), but would equally welcome a completely foreign sojourn into Akavir or Summerset Isle.

while Solstheim would be pretty nice i dont think they would retread old ground
i'd like to go to another Daedric Realm. again, i dont think they would do Hircine's Hunting Grounds because he was featured so much in Bloodmoon.
i think Coldharbour would be pretty fun

There's a difference?
Shivering Isles was content, and you could download it. And I can't really see Bethesda only releasing content on disc form in this day and age.

DLC and Expansions are different. You can still download an Expansion and it still be an expansion. DLC are more like "patches". Shivering Isles was an expansion. Knight of the Nine however was just a nice sized DLC.

I would like to go to Akavir in an expansion or maybe just have an entire game on Akavir some time, it would be the first TES game not to take place on Tamriel.

Where's the "Horse armour land" option?

Nah, just kidding, I'd either like to return to Solstheim, or have an over-the-border expansion into the western part of High Rock.
