If you could buy a slave in Skyrim what would you like him t

"You are free to go."
"What, just like that."
"Well, you could tell me everything you know about slavers and the slave trade."
Hack, slash, burn, freeze, more hacking, followed by a pile of dead slave traders to rival the one I left in my wake in Fallout 3.

Amen, brother :)

Damn straight. Why bother trying to take a moral high ground in a land where their may not be any.

That's no reason not to have any of your own. Neither for slavery to exist at all.

I admit that the only place where I'd have no morals is in a land where I wouldn't have faith in humanity anymore. But luckily Tamriel isn't post-apocaliptic Earth.

Besides, everyone saying they'd just free him/her, are most likely just sentencing them to death in a world that they aren't capable of handling.

Are you a seer, for deciding what are people capable of handling or not?

And anyways, if you're so kind of freeing him, you may as well pointt him in the correct way. Or contract him to *legally* work for you. Or make him your companion. There are a lot of options avaliable, not to rely on slavery. Much less if it's forced and non-desired.

Slavery is wrong. Period. I think it's one of those things in life where no arguments can be done to justify it. Because it's just simply impossible to justify it.

I would catch him on fire, and throw him into a crowd of enemies. Afterwards, if he survived, I would heal him and give him a break. Once he was better, or I had bought a new one, I would do it agian.

Give him/her some coin and as they walk away, slap them on the ass.

Best possible answer.

Depends. Can the slave be a hot girl? Cause if so, that changes everything. If it has to be a dude, though, I'd let him go.

Well said!

He could stand near the door and hold my keys while I relax on the sofa. Considering the last TES games that won't be an easy task. While standing there he could also polish all the rusty keys... and make all shiny keys rusty.

If I had a slave it would to all kinds of house-elf stuff around the Mansion. Cleaning, cooking, keeping plants alive, disposing of dead bodies, drawing blood from tied up virgins in the cattle room located under the mansion somewhere hidden and storing the blood in vails in my bedroom, making sure prisoners are fed, etc. You know, normal domestic stuff.
But most importantly he'd be my one source of storage. I'd dump all my loot directly to him and he'd put the armor on mannequins in my showcase room, my weapons on racks, my books in the library book shelves, my ingredients in the alchemy lab, my junk in the basemant, etc.
He'd also go on the occasional reagent-, sometimes even beer- and wine-run.

I'd make him look sharp in some nice clothes and he'd head out to town to charm the shopkeepers with his wits and smiles, then sell useless goods for a pretty penny which I'd collected on travels.
He'd play that little guitar thing and hum songs to set the mood in my Mansion, no singing though.. Dont wanna hear that noise.

He'd write down my epic tales of myth and wonder as journal entries then he'd brag about my adventures to the fair maidens of the town.

He would be Super-slave 9000.. "All you want, and more"

(Omg I gotta make this mod! Haha..)

If I could own a slave in Skyrim I'd be too embaressed to say what I would use him for, especially if he's reasonably good looking. :blush2:

I'd make him follow me around out of sight collecting ingredients and stray arrows and filling my soul gems for me. In dungeons I'd load him up as a pack animal, casting as strong a feather spell on him as I could without having everything he carries snap his spine. If his spine did snap, I'd make potions out of his bonemeal and find another one.

I hated that in morrowind that you could buy a slave but the slave had no real actions in the game.

If you could buy a slave in Skyrim I would like it if he could act as a partner in crime you know slaying the guards stealing from the rich that sort of thing. So what do you think about having a slave?
(Most likely Skyrim will have no slaves but still ;) )

A slave should be able to perform everything that is within their functional capacity. And I mean EVERYTHING :hubbahubba: :celebration:

1. carry my gear
2. do what I say, even if it means killing a so-called "innocent"
3. get naked and dance for me

Okay, I don't care about the 3rd one. I put it there because it made me laugh.

Really, I don't think we're getting slaves. So it's all moot.

I'd probably let him go, and see if he wanted to stay by choice. But, Bethesda probably isn't going to bust lore to bring back something as universally distasteful as slavery. You can still roleplay it if you really want to, I suppose. Companions pretty much function as slaves anyway; it's not like they're coded to ever say no.

Supposed it's an orc, I'd use him as a mount. What if it's Bosmer? Still a mount. Nord? Mount. Women? Mount! All mounts, no exception! With saddle bags and all. Aren't we gonna be slow? Yes we are, but Don Quixote was slow too and look how far he went.

I loled. An orc riding a bosmer, now that's something I want to see! With mounted combat that is.

Come on guys, set them free? Where's the fun in that? Unless you're RPing as a good guy, there's no reason to let 'em go without having them do anything.

For example, if I think there will be a spider ahead but can't quite see it, I'd send my slave towards it to draw it out :) If he/she dies, oh well, just buy another one. I know, cruel, but it's a video game ;)

If I could buy slaves in Skyrim, what I'd do is the same thing I did in Morrowind (even in the slave to wife quest): BEAT THEM!

I would taunt and intimidate them, and then swat them (with no weapon), until they ran away, then use command creature and my excellent speechcraft skills to get them back in line.

Oh, the joys of being an abusive slave owner...

If I had a slave? I'd give him my pet gerbil Lemmiwinks. I'm sure he'd know what to do with it.

Oh Mr. Slaaaave!!

Slavery was illegal under The Empire. I wonder if it will still be so?
