If you could buy a slave in Skyrim what would you like him t

Post » Sun Feb 06, 2011 10:57 pm

I hated that in morrowind that you could buy a slave but the slave had no real actions in the game.

If you could buy a slave in Skyrim I would like it if he could act as a partner in crime you know slaying the guards stealing from the rich that sort of thing. So what do you think about having a slave?
(Most likely Skyrim will have no slaves but still ;) )

"You are free to go."
"What, just like that."
"Well, you could tell me everything you know about slavers and the slave trade."
Hack, slash, burn, freeze, more hacking, followed by a pile of dead slave traders to rival the one I left in my wake in Fallout 3.

Depends. Can the slave be a hot girl? Cause if so, that changes everything. If it has to be a dude, though, I'd let him go.

Give him/her some coin and as they walk away, slap them on the ass.

I want slaves that are preset to certain activities like i by a miner slave he goes around in a mine acting the part, gardening slave would garden/ gather food, house slave would clean and sort stuff for me , just as guards I rent/buy would guard specific areas where I leave them or they would try to help me in fights but I wouldnt want them to be very effectual, I like to do my own fighting,.... all in all I want slaves and guards as house dressing and to be able to clothe them as I see fit, just to make my world more alive.

Am I seriously the only one that wants to buy like 30 slaves, train them to fight, and lead a giant war party destroying everything in our path?

I would like the ability to purchase and own slaves if there is any micromanagement in your home or town. Examples: Cutting wood, or mining ore. Even if the ability to purchase them isn't there, slaves should be a very real part of Skyrim.

There should also be another option for those who aren't too keen on treating people as property. Perhaps hiring someone as your servant, or something along those lines. Hiring instead of owning, however I'm not sure how things like that would go in the land of the Nords.

I wouldn't have a slave. If anything I'd buy one just to free him.

i would train him to be as bad ass as me. and then set him free with the knowledge that he now has the tools needed to gain vengeance on those who enslaved him if he chose to do so.

If I knew of a slave, I would try to procure that individual. Employment would be offered, and if the individual had reason to go, then a few coins may be provided, if I had them, as others have said. My Dovakhiin does not need slaves.

Edit: I do not know about the Nords in Skyrim, but the Norse did, in fact, take slaves.

Well, this would be really neat. I'll go ahead and buy a few to do my main quests for me. I wonder how they'll do... ?

Damn straight. Why bother trying to take a moral high ground in a land where their may not be any. Besides, everyone saying they'd just free him/her, are most likely just sentencing them to death in a world that they aren't capable of handling.
