I would choose Summerset Isles if I can't have Skyrim, but I think each province has plenty of potential. I'm not really bothered by which one they choose.

THE ENTIRE MAINLAND OF TAMRIEL is not an option, so in that case I said Summerset simply because I want to not come up against any 'you can't go that way, turn back' messages when i clearly can. Surround me with water, infest it with sea-drakes and slaughtersharks, tell me the Summerset government has quarantined the island (which I think is true) and I'll believe you.

Also Summerset is mentioned a lot in Oblivion and there is some seriously crazy crap going down there according to the lore.

I do NOT want Skyrim because I don't need to play only in the boring snowy tundra and annoying-to-traverse mountains

Hammerfell would be my second choice as there is a lot of land to explore and the conflict between the Redgaurd and the Orcs could be pretty cool.

Blackmarsh is probably a bit too exotic and swampy to be that interesting from a story POV, Elseweyr could be cool and Valenwood could be interesting but again it'd all kinda be a bit same-y.

Akavir, while I appreciate the idea, would be way off the beaten track and would require a huge amount of lore-smashing "OMG It's not what we thought it was!!!" stuff which I'm not into, in order to make it work as a game.

Going back to my first point, Bethesda...Todd: just make the whole damn mainland already! Take a ten year dev cycle and do it! Don't quesion, just svck it up and go, it's really the only way to 'advance' the series at this point and sequels can always reintroduce it and add Akavir and all those other 'unknown' continents that may or may not exist...

I for one, am not going to be satisfied with the next TES game if its just another province...

I'd say Summerset Isle, but I think it'd end up too generic like Oblivion's "Daedra Daedra Daedra!"

I want to see Elsweyr. I love deserts. Those alone can be pretty diverse, landscape can go from http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/5771140/2/istockphoto_5771140-arizona-desert-landscape.jpg to http://www.reissuemylifeinsurance.info/All%20Picture%20Folder/Arizona%20Desert%20Landscape.jpg, http://www.joelwolfson.com/Photos%20WM/The%20Hiker%20WM.jpg, http://pixdaus.com/pics/1254771459pGalF4K.jpg, and http://pixdaus.com/pics/cyu2na7zGGmZb4PVI5.jpg. I'd also like to see the various forms of Khajiit.

Skyrim or Valenwood.

HOWEVER... if they happen to create an MMO, they would have to create all of the provinces, similar to that in WoW.

But that goes without saying yes?

I'd be happy with seeing either Argonia, Elsweyr, or Valenwood as a TES game setting. Any of them could be exotic, internally varied, and refreshingly different from the bland and boring European-style standard fantasy countryside that Bethesda created to portray Cyrodiil, or the generic Nordic style snowy tundra and mountains that we're likely to get in Skyrim. Harsh jungles, deadly swamps, bleak deserts, and narrow canopied waterways all could be fascinating to explore.

The Summerset Isles or Hammerfell wouldn't be bad, either, although I think the ability to do the former justice with current technology would be limited, and the proportion of desert (both stony and sandy varieties) might make the latter a bit on the bleak side (not that it would be entirely a bad thing).

In fact, of all the possible provinces, I'd LEAST like to see Skyrim. I don't need to see either Solstheim or the Jerall Mountains again, and I could never bring myself to play a Nord character. Cyrodiil and Morrowind would be the next least preferred, due to having "been there, done that".

As much as I hate Skyrim, I feel some people are "Hating" on it. Just because its mostly snowy crap, does't mean there is no forest and fields. I personally would much prefer the frightening Black Marsh. And I know, that when It does (if) take place in Black Marsh, so many people will be so mad. But why, if you are the many Haters. Why would you prefer another Scandinavia. Maybe Im wrong, but we do not need to start another argument of this "oh I hate Skyrim," so Im stopping here.

I can't really make up my mind. I voted Cyrodiil, as I think it'd be interesting if they tried to recreate it to look more like how it was in the PGE 1st Edition. I also just love the temperate climes and quaint English-style architecture Imperials tend to use. I'm worried about Skyrim because although I love Nords I think it might be just too Alpine and stuff, whereas Summerset Isle might be temperate and paradoxically have more of an Imperial presence which means nice buildings and other nice motifs of Imperial culture.

I'd have to go with Summerset. I'm still part of the crowd that thinks Skyrim has quite a bit of potential for interesting locations (certainly, of the more "Earthlike" provinces, it can be the most interesting alongside Hammerfell), but part of me wants Bethesda to tackle another exotic province ASAP immediately after their work on Oblivion just to help get their creative juices flowing again...and to put us all at ease for a while over doubts on just how "creative" their worlds have been as of late.

EDIT: I think Hammerfell could be quite interesting as well. It probably would possess the second largest Dwemer contingent after Vvardenfell, and there's always the possibility of throwing in some Orcish culture as well (assuming Orsinium expands south, past Wayrest). Maybe even some Sload? Regardless, I think we could get some nice geographical variety out of deserts, rocky highlands, savannah, jungle, et cetera.

Summerset Isle might be temperate and paradoxically have more of an Imperial presence which means nice buildings and other nice motifs of Imperial culture.

Heh, yeah - in many ways it feels as though the Imperials had stronger cultural identity in Morrowind than in their own native province during Oblivion, but that's probably just due to the heavy contrasts they had with the conservative and traditionalist Dunmer areas.

Realistically I would want them to do something similar to what they did in Daggerfall where they picked two or three provinces, in this case Valenwood and Eleswyr.

However, ideally they would just make a full map of tamriel that they then use for future games. Basically it would function more like a platform which they place new games in rather than having to make a new gameworld for every single new game, similar to what Rockstar did with the GTA IV mission packs.

I would like to see two or three provinces bordering each other to be in the new TES. They can take the bay as landmark and the three provinces surrounding it (Elsweyr, Imperial and Black Marsh). Or maybe an other piece of landmass containing multiple provinces. Why? Because it makes politics and intriges possible. At the court, kings, queens, trust and betrayal, backstabbing, maybe a coup to prevent or to cause.

Well although I'm pretty sure that if we see a new Elder Scrolls game in the near future, it'll be Skyrim, I'd really like to see a game set in Black Marsh. The province is surrounded in mystery and there are loads of opportunities for a story development, especially when you take into account the antagonisms between the Argonian natives and the waning Imperial Empire. Quite personally, I think graphics have improved substantially since Bethesda tried to render swamplands in Morrowind- I think this go around they could utilize the new generation in graphics to create a completely immersible world.
My second and third choices would be Elsweyr and Akavir (I know it's not a province =P ) respectably.

But... but i want Skyrim.

Well Elsweyr could indeed be a interesting province, i will admit that. The problem i have with it though, is that half of the population would be Khajiits. Don't get me wrong, i like Khajiits, but i don't like them to make up the majority of the NPCs. Yet, i actually think i am gonna go with Elsweyr. Black Marsh could be interesting too. I would also be perfectly fine with High Rock since i don't really mind the Medieval Europe stuff. Hammerfell might be interesting at first but i imagine the desert thing would become old really fast. I don't really know about Valenwood but i am leaning toward no thank. Summerset Isle might turn out to be a little too alien for my taste but who know. I have no desire to see Morrowind and Cyrodiil again anytime soon.

I'd like to see Akavir most of all, lotsa possibilities there: whole new races, whole new cultures, whole new rules. Never happen though so I voted Black Marsh.

Anyone else agree that Black Marsh sounds too cool if made based on lore description?

I would love to see endless jungle with all kinds of bug creatures and whatnot.
