If you could choose the next province of the elder scrolls g

I'd love to see Valenwood if Skyrim isn't next in line... that or Summerset Isles (though it might be too similar to Morrowind)

To be honest, I'd love to see another TES in Cyrodiil. Follows Ocato's leadership, several provinces about to secede, you need to be Ocato's pawn and run around gaining support for for the Empire. Maybe you can even meet the Champion and Cyrodiil (AKA You from Oblivion, his Canon apperance would and should be Imperial) and do a couple of quests for him.

Of course I'm just dreaming.

Well, I say this. Let's say they do Skyrim. You should be able to visit portions of one or more of the neighboring provinces. In this case.. why not Cyrodiil????
You could make it free to venture into Cyrodiil, but more realistically, I think there should be a quest or two that require you to make a visit the IC or something like that. It's like here, go see Ocatao, we have a caravan stationed outside for you. You get in the caravan, and you wake up in the IC.
You can visit the shops, buy unique armor and swords, do whatever you want, even some sidequests, but once you complete the quest you were sent there for, you'd go back to the caravan and wake back up in Skyrim.

Valenwood for me. Tall trees, dence forest. Wood Elves! Come on! ;)

Sounds about right to me. that would be my vote. I can imagine a whole city in the trees. Awesome. I also think that maybe there could be like 2 or 3 different provinces you could travel back and forth in.

I love Valenwood. But we're talking about a game your going to spend.. a LOT of time playing. And as much as forest and forest cities and all that is awesome, there's going to be a time when you just want.. a change of scenery. That's why I wish they do one province, but allow you to venture off into others or parts of others.

We'll go to Morrowind, after the ministry of truth has fallen. It'll be an epic game. I shall call it. The elderscrolls 5: fallout.

After playing in Cyrodiil, it would be hard to go to any non-capitol province. Cyrodiil is the center of the empire; where things are happenin'. I think if they really wanted to, they'd be able to make all of Tamriel. Just look at how much modders have made using Oblivion's construction set. I think it would definitely be possible if they followed some very creative procedures and artistic ideas.
Creative use of memory and randomization could make a big difference as well. Even if it were a multi-disc game, I would still love it. Perhaps installation of the secondary discs could make it more seamless.

If it had to be only one small section of Tamriel that wasn't Cyrodiil or Morrowind, I'd say High Rock.

I'll have to agree with some posters here in that at this point, with today's and graphics capabilities and modern systems, I think all of Tamriel should be done. In my mind, we've already seen most of the more interesting and unique places in Tamriel (Morrowind is completely alien visually, and culurally complex. Cyrodiil is the center of Tamriel and the heart of the empire.) Logically, I think the next step would be to link the provinces we've already seen to the smaller provinces.

Also, I remember the days when companies would spend many years developing huge games that took massive steps forward in both technology and game play. Look at the progression from Arena to Morrowind, or for an outside example, look at the first three Myst title by Cyan. Riven took 4 years, and Uru took 6. Each was a major bar-raiser that attempted to completely outdo the previous title. I think Bethesda would benefit, imo, from taking more time to create a better quality product that can raise the bar - to where it should be in the gaming landscape of today. They've already GOT the massive fan base through Oblivion's success. Now they can actually make something more hardcoe and have every dike, jane, and harry play it.

Depends on how much effort the developers will/won't put into the province. Vvardenfell, despite being a backwater "frontier" land only recently being extensively colonized by foreigners, had much larger cities and a more organized Imperial Legion than they had in Cyrodiil. The bustling metropolitan capitol province of Tamriel. Vvardenfell had public transportation networks - guild guides, ships, silt striders, gondolas, whereas you pretty much travelled by carriage/horse or on foot in Cyrodiil. The bustling metropolitan capitol province of Tamriel.

Very True. Oblivion had me hooked for a loooong time. I still play it some. haha. I agree that there should be more then one province. If it would take up too much space on a disc then make the other provinces an add on or something. I'd say main is either valenwood or Vvardenfall then have cyrodil, Elyswer and Skrim as others or something like that. Sorry for mentioning Skrim. =)

Anyone else agree that Black Marsh sounds too cool if made based on lore description?

I would love to see endless jungle with all kinds of bug creatures and whatnot.

I do.It will just seem so big, with all the mazes with the hists, and swamps/

Even though this is my second choice (my first would be Skyrim, sorry) I'd like to see Summerset Isle mainly for it's mage background. Plus it would be an interesting setting not to mention how the Altmer are and their attitude towards other races in their homeland. But I think that would get a little boring afterawhile. Summerset Isle is a little small compared to other provinces. It's a hard choice. I'd love to see ALL provinces in one game because I would love all the different areas to explore and the lore and all and just be able to have a change in scenary and culture. But the provinces would have to come seperatly as add-ons if they were to be actually fun and good looking.

Black Marsh. So unknown and mysterious. I would really like to learn even more about the Hist and Argonian culture. :)

I voted Summerset Isle because it seems people want things compact and close, where as I want things more to scale. Therefore I chose something with the smallest apparent landmass so that at least both sides could be satisfied. Honestly, I think even Summerset Isle done correctly would need to be four times the size of the Oblivion map with things spread out.

That statement should illicit howls of rage from these who want everything cheek-to-jowl in these games.

Honestly I don't see the fun in a game where you walk one-hundred feet out of a town and suddenly you have 'discover' a lost ancient monument nobody from that town has ever seen. Sure, that unknown monument is just twenty feet around the bend of a road, but some of you seem to want that sort of unrealistic scale so you don’t have to walk.
