If you could create one Vault experiment what would it be?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 2:33 am

So yeah basically vault experiments such as how in Vault 106 As part of the vault experiment. psychoactive drugs were released into the Vault 106 air filtration system 10 days after the door was sealed.

Name one you would like to see what happens or see in fallout 4.

vault D

power is not supplied by nuclear reactors, but by diesel generators (hence the name)

crops are grown in invault plantations, powered by above generators, to supply both oxygene and food for both the inhabitants as well as the generators.

vault experiment: maintain a sustainable population:plant ratio balance

...

experiment failed

plants won :-)

(that's an unfinished fnv mod project of mine that got interrupted by the manifestation of skyrim, perhaps it'll see the light for fo4)

edit: ...and for vaults i'd actually like to SEE in a fallout game would be vault 69 and the one with 1 dude and a crate full of puppets, but iirc they're both from the tycho cartoon, and i'm not sure how canon that's considered :-)

Vault

- The vault is populated by the physically and mentally handicapped, all occupants were chosen with genes that have high risks for offspring to be born with mental and physical abnormalities. Also the vault comesequipped with faulty machinery and limited safety and medical equipment designed to increase the amount of severing and disabling of the occupants limbs in the vault Examples such as fast shutting doors, steep stairs, Mr. Handys programmed to excessively wash the floors. etc.

Reason for experiment: To see if people with different handicaps can work together to overcome their dissabilities.

Aka : A master blaster vault.

Vault 113

Location: Unknown

Status: Unknown

-The Vault was populated by mostly scientists, their assistants and normal healthy civilians. Most women that lived in Vault 113 had to marry, and be impregnated. The vault contained normal living conditions and facilities, chemicals, lots of books, recording devices, and scientific and medical tools. Lastly in the basemant area contained cryogenic pods for preservation purposes.

Reason for experiment: To create super soldiers in order to counter the harsh realities of the wasteland, subjects were tested for all category's (Super strength, telekinesis, teleportation) at either the age of 21 or even by the womb.

Of course it's a crazy vault what do you expect?

It actually would be really cool to see this in Fallout 4, but not Super-Mutants or ghouls we already got those.:D

A vault that is unmarked on the map and no quest takes you there. It requires a 100 skill in speech or barter to convince the people on the other side to let you in peacefully. Or 100 Science to open the doors yourself. Some kind of skill check not related to combat. The inhabitants of the original vault were attacked by people who were trying to find shelter when the bombs dropped. The overseer is killed and new leadership is chosen. The group managed to survive and encountered one of vault-tec's sick experiments that they only knew about and could deactivate because they had information only the overseer knew about. It's the only completely intact vault you ever find. You are able to explore exactly how they are built and the machinery used to carry out their experiments and sustain life.

The current people living there are those that remained after the vault was re-opened 50 years after the Great War. You have to solve their problems because the vault is finally breaking down. I was thinking also that the people who left originally are from a settlement that is either completely destroyed or very secretive about their past.

Each room in the housing quarters has two occupants- one is deaf and the other is blind. In another room, one has OCD, and the other is a pathological slob.
I'm talking impairments that- on their own are manageable, but partnered up with others that would clash, people. Buckle up, it's gonna be a long ride through the apocalypse.

Fill the vault full of strong believers of many ideologies (Christians, Buddhists, Islamists, Satanists, Scientologists) and see what happens.

Vault #whatever.

A vault that kidnapped infants from the local hospitals. Only a few advlts existed until committing suicide (vanishing), due to the children being old enough to take care of themselves.

Mind you, most everyone in this vault is exactly the same year age, not knowing a birth date for themself. Only given a name tag as a child to know.

Blah blah blah, Yada Yada Yada the years go by, people teach themselves about sixual intercourse, babies, medical practices, mechanic work, sanitation, cooking etc.

No (outside the vault) information is given, if people learn to open the door... I guess that door opens.

Sorry if the post is short and choppy, but I've had a long day haha.

Vault #?

This vault consists of 6 separate but connected vaults. One vault produces food, the next water, the next weapons, the next food, and the next luxuries. The last vault is the control vault the observes and can experiment certain situations as locking down 1 vault or stopping 1 vaults production. None of the other vaults new about the control vault. Eventually peaceful living was not agreeable and these groups fought a civil war with shifting alliances.

The control vault could not contain the war so they contacted the outside and hired a group of raiders to clear the 5 other vaults. However, the raiders took over the control vault and prepared to clear the rest of the vaults. Not realizing the armor, weapons, and experience these vault dwellers had due to the civil war; the raiders were all killed and the dwellers learned of the experiment and the outside world. Each vault then formed an alliance, built a small city outside the vault which lured many people with their almost endless production of supplies.

This city and vault were still ruled by an overseer.

My Vault would be set up that the thermostat would always lie and be 7 to 10 degrees hotter or colder than the what the temperature displays as and it will randomly switch on and off.

Vault #: Vault 9 "The Canine Vault" as well as the "NOPE" vault

Location: Around [Probably outskirts] of Denver. Sign in front of it says "NOPE" in bright red luminescent spray-paint.

Status: Inaccessable

Occupants & oddities: 100-200 humans, the rest being domesticated creatures. Most of which consisted of dogs. Not much food was in the vault, but it did have a large surplus of tools to keep the vault running. And beyond the first layer it would cycled through seasons and weather. What occupants did not know was that there was some "wild" creatures included. All humans accepted were high-style fashionestas use to having everything done for them.

Layout: Origionally set into segments by layer. On the top layer was the living layer, but as you went down stairs each layer changed. The first layer one encountered would be a large, foresty area with fake trees and fake grass. This area was home to wolves, large deer, small bears, wild rabbits, jackrabbits, wild birds, and birds of prey. In the center it included a large fresh-water small lake.

The second layer was a desert terrain, which included: coyotes, rattle snakes, scorpions, large bugs, large arachnids, desert turtles, and small oasis all about.

The third layer was swamp-like, highly irradiated, and stuck in forever-night. In it was: large mutated crocadiles, large [nocturnal] mutated birds, oversized arachnids, large snakes, and finally many parahnas.

Goal: How long could man's best friend stay man's best friend? What happened if dogs bred back with wolves and coyotes? How would a group of "nobles" chain together in the events of a civilization?

Notes: After some time the humans begun to use the excess parts to place into their companions as well as themselves.

Succes?: After some time most of the humans had died, leaving a large ammount of wild wolf-coyote-dogs became feral. One day the large dog population busted into the upper floor. The humans, needing to escape, opened the vault and did as such. They brought with them many supplies for science and creation, and fled into Denver along with their companions. Of the few who know of the Vault's existence, many say this is why the area is flooded with dogs. The occassional cyberntic dog being a companion to one of the humans who didn't make it and died in Denver.

To stop the surplus of wild creatures and especially feral dogs from breeding and continuing to flood Denver, many of the humans in a last-ditch effort ran to the Vault and shot explosives over the crater above the vault, resulting in its enterence becoming covered with rocks.
