If you could interview anyone

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 3:50 pm

If you could interview anyone in history or from now who would it be
you can have as many as you want but what would be questions youd ask
A British WW1 vet
What was it like to be in the Great War?
What motivated you to join in the first place?
Did you hate the Germans?

An American Civil War Vet
What was it like to fight your own people on your own soil?
What do you regret most?

Teddy Roosevelt
Id ask him, well i don't know i just don't
and
Hitler
Id ask him why?
what motivated you to Kill Millions of Jewish people?
Did you truly believe America was Weak?
Did you truly believe Britain would fall as easily as France did?

Shakespeare! I'd just want to talk to him, no questions in general.
George Washington, and what his ideal for our future was.(America, not the world in general)
Hitler, and why he was such a [censored](I'd probably get shot shortly after asking that though)
My Ancestors and ask them why they moved from Germany to come over here in the early 1800's.

In regards to the Jewish question - everybody maligned the Jews. They have since Europe became Christian. It was only Hitler that actually did anything about it in recent history. Don't forget it wasn't just the Jews, Roma gypsies, and other social undesirables were killed too. Here's an interesting except I did whilst googling this subject: http://www.waragainsttheweak.com/offSiteArchive/HitlerDebtToAmerica.html
I'm not sure where you got the idea that Hitler thought America was weak.
And Hitler wanted Britain to ally themselves with Germany, not fight against - which was why the evacuation of Dunkirk was possible and not a total annihilation of the BEF. In any case, the English Channel proved to be uncrossable, just like it was to every other invader since William the Conqueror.

H.P. Lovecraft - Too many questions to list. I love his stuff

Edgar Allen Poe - I'd ask him about his life, and how that influenced his literature

The guys from Rammstein - I'd ask them how growing up in Eastern Germany was, and if they ever predicted they'd be so famous and successful

Tim Schafer - I'd shoot the breeze with him about the bad elements of the game industry, ask about some of his ideas that never got put into games, and talk about how much of  Bobby Kotick is

Tim Burton - I'd ask him where he gets his inspiration for such twisted and awesome stories

Could you please get a new damned alarm clock?

Where's my cookie?

These are all for laughs (except the first one.) I don't really want to interview anybody.

Louis Theroux, I'd ask him about all the weird and wonderful people he's met. Thomas and Guy from Daft Punk, just 'cause it would be awesome. Maybe jam with them, even though I can't play any instruments. Charlie Brooker, David Mitchell and Yahtzee, since they all share my sense of humour.

I'd like to meet whoever invented the double-click so I could break their fingers.

What do you mean, that's not in the spirit of things?
