If you could make one major change to Skyrim's development..

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 2:34 am

What would it be?

Try and make it an improvement, at least by your book.

Mine would to make sure that items will be properly appraised this time around (nothing is worth 0, unless in special circumstances, and clothes aren't valued so it's cheaper to dress in upper class clothing than lower class stuff).

OH, AND REMEMBER: ONLY ONE THING.

Inb4spears, attributes

Larger continent. Like, twice the size of OB. I was a little disappointed to hear the land mass was going to be more or less the same size.

Invest in an SSD and the loading times will magically disappear

or invest in some more ram and it will disappear faster

I am totally good with the game right now, maybe I would change the size but it will probably still be pretty big

More PC design features such as::

1. True DX11 effects (confirmed out)
2. PC Textures as good as MOD ones, not the crap given in Oblivion and FO3. (possible, but unlikely given the track record)
3. Pure PC UI. Draggable and rezable panels, multiple info panels open at once, bind any weapon, UI panel, or ability to any key. Basically like Morrowind. (We all know this isn't going to happen.)

Or implement child fable 1 style.

You know where you viciously beat them publicly and then got off scot free by apologizing to one of the guards.

Interesting...... Works for me, even though that crushed my dreams of being a lightning mage with a halberd....

If you install a lot of mods the loading screen will still take some time, but in my case (Dual Intel X18 G2 in Raid0 - 160GB x 2) vanilla versions of games usually loading is a couple seconds at most.

Not all SSDs are equal, though, so research before you buy.

hmmmmm......good question. I'm not sure about what I would change, as of now. I'm sure that after I've played the game, I will have something.

I suppose it would be nice if BGS had started development 6mos. sooner, so that SR would be available now.

Well, if I could DO one thing, it'd be to 100% prevent six in Skyrim.

If I could CHANGE one thing, it'd be their choice not to release info to the public.

You know, I don't think there is anything I would change  There are several things I'm unsure about, but nothing I would revert before even playing. I guess if I had to pick something, I'd make sure that the world reflects the lore.
