Why then would ANY game be made that limits joystick sensitivity?
It's so low.
Allowing "insanely high" (but actually middle-level) options for sensitivity on joysticks is just sensible. Call of Duty 4-and-on have "insane" sensitivity setting. This is a middling level of sensitivity, thank god I have an example since most people think "medium", in cod4, is the middling joystick sensitivity. If I can aim perfectly fine on my PC by running PS3 controller drivers then manually adjusting my sensitivity, why not just let sensitivity go higher?
Exponential speed increase - the further you move the joystick, the faster the view moves. Only exponentially so.
Right now, BRINK is using normal, non-exponential speed increase when you move the joystick further. Call of Duty 4-and-on use exponential speed increase, and the higher sensitivities simply increase the exponential factor instead of truly increasing the movement speed (small movements stay about the same on all sensitivities, the bigger movements are affected more).
It's nice that we can turn off Auto-Aim, which should never have been on in console fps in the first place. Now we need many far higher sensitivies, exponential speed increase with a customizable exponent factor, and customizable dead zone.
That is all.
P.S. I played COD4 and MW2 on ps3 with insane sensitivity at all times. I also use GlovePIE and PS3 Controller drivers to play any PC fps I want with fully customized VERY HIGH sensitivity.
A thank you to Splash Damage for including fully customizable buttons and the no-auto-aim option.
This has been about fps' in general, but BRINK has this problem as well.
