You don't look well

Post » Sat Dec 03, 2011 5:32 am

Why am I always getting 'you don't look well or are you sick'. Not sure what's going on. I get regular sleep and eat food.

Can someone tell me what this means? I have not been exposed to Vampires or werewolfs.

You've picked up a nasty disease. Check your active effects list under magic, it'll be listed there.

Most temples will get rid of that for you, if you go and get the blessings.

You failed at character creation and your character ended up looking like an old prune.

I bet that line will be the new 'I saw a mudcrab the other day'.

They say this to me all the time and I don't have any active diseases. I've visited the Temple in Whiterun, walked out after being blessed, and had someone say it to me. I think it's also applied to very light skin tones for Bretons. Or it's a bug.

It could be any type of disease. Go to your Magic menu and scroll down to Active Effects. It will say what afflicts you. Taking a Cure Disease potion will fix it.

Maybe you just look a bit rough/ scarred/ dirty / pale / tired and they are just commenting. In't not an easy life being an adventurer....

I've noticed the chemist in Whiterun says that every time you walk in regardless if you're actually sick. I think that's just her idea of a sales pitch. "You look like hell, buy this pill."

I get told the same thing all the time and I confirmed I have no disease. Only thing I can think of is that I haven't ever slept in the game. Maybe that has something to do with it? I know that if I walk around in my underwear I hear no end of comments about it from NPCs.

Funnily enough she suggests I have Ataxia, which my character did have but has long since been cured of.

it WOULD be nice if there were a character sheet so you could SEE the active effects on you.

BUT... there isnt.. soo

go the local shrine for starters and see if the cure disease fixes you up.

There IS a character sheet. We've been saying so in this thread. Under Magic: Active Effects.

But yeah, if you don't sleep for a while, you might get that too. I sleep regularly so I have "well rested" or "rested" bonuses.

my favorite one is "i used to be an adventurer like you, then i took an arrow to the knee"

but i do get the "you look sick" one also but im a werewolf so the guards sometimes say "is that hair...coming out of your ears?!"

Yes I get this alot as a Breton. Though my guy is a somewhat pale, necromancer spellcaster type, so I'm thinking he doesn't look 'well' most of the time. ^^

My adivce, become a werewolf. You are immune to disease. They just comment on my "wolfish grin" it scares them. Only issue I had was when they asked if it wasfur coming out of my ears...

I dont have furry ears damnit. Allthough I wouldnt care if I was a khajit.

Dont remind me of all the people who took arrows to the knee. I think its 99% of the gaurds that have said that to me.

I noticed this too. It's either a bug, or genius. Not sure which.

Interesting. I'm a Breton and I've been getting these comments all the time too. Played a Nord for a bit and I don't remember it happening with her.
