Do you drink from plastic, glass, or metal?

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 7:58 am

Cause there's many types of materials that we can hold our liquids in, and like... guys... we need to have some ground breaking discussion here. So yeah. What do you drink out of?

I personally enjoy plastic cups. You can fill them, drink from them, wait for a cockroach to crawl in them overnight, throw them away, and repeat. It's great for the environment, because you get to kill all those pesky cockroaches.

The milk carton...so...ummm...plastic?

Joking aside, depending on the time of day, it could either be glass or plastic. Brreakfast time it's usually a plastic cup, but anytime after that it'll be glass. That's assuming I'm not drinking a can of Mountain Dew.

Yea! Kill those roaches! Always finding a way in my takeout..[censored] jerks.

Plastic throwaway cups work best for me cause my dorm room isn't homey.

Glass master race.

But remember everyone, make sure to respect one anothers' preferences, or else you might hurt someone's emotion bone.

Plastic for daily use, don't break when you drop them, easy to clean etc. But glass for other occasions or with liquids other than water

Glass. It is a luxury that comes with nobility.

Excuse me? Glass is POTENTIALLY dangerous and COULD lead to the harm of bones if we allowed things to get out of hand! I think we need to ban all glass-cups from the world, as the risk of the danger is simply to much to create a civil drinking environment.

I prefer glass, I like my soda in a glass. My Coke in the glass bottle, and my Root Beer in a glass bottle. I do like plastic for water as I freeze them in the Summer months for ice cold water.

All of them depending on where I am. At home I drink from ceramic coffee mugs or glass mason jars. When I'm out and about I have a plastic waterbottle, I'll also drink form whatever I'm served .

Let's not forget the aluminum can that contains delicious beer.

Side note: I work in the specialty metals industry, I do not count aluminium as a metal even though I believe it technically is.

Most things I drink out of glass. Juice, soda, milk...the latter tastes best from an aluminum can, but those are a hassle, and I rarely buy them.

But I drink water out of a plastic bottle. To me, it just tastes...wrong in glass. I don't know why.

If I'm gonna drink soda, which I don't, I like it in a can. Cheap beer I like in a bottle and everything else I like in a glass.. preferably a thin and long glass.

idk about that, I mean I find that soda from glass bottles has the best flavor, I just like that very different taste. The glass must be reacting with the soda's chemicals or something.... ?

I agree it's worst out of plastic.

Eh, soda from cans taste kind of funny. Soda from glass bottles are the superior ones. There is no question about it.

I use all three, depending on what's in it to begin with or if I'm at someone else's house. If I'm at home and want some milk in the morning, chances are I'll just chug it straight out of the plastic gallon. When I eat soup when I'm sick (like I am right now) I drink all the broth out of one of the glass bowls I usually use. I haven't run across too many metal cups but I'd still use them. I think we're missing porcelain from the selection as well. You know, mugs and such.

Edit: Oh yeah, soda cans are metal too. I usually don't count them since their metal isn't the metal I usually associate the word with.

We've got some pretty slick glasses made from polycarbonate. Mere "plastic" is so pedestrian.

Plastic is for the master race. Only a fool would drink from something that could kill em! (???)

I asked my alcoholic room mate which she thinks is better and i got "Which ever has booze in it" ?_?

Always glass cups for me unless I'm away from home I sometimes get a bottled water. I'm not a big beer guy but the thought of drinking it out of anything other than glass scares me. Plastics and metals have a taste that ruins it for me.
