Do you ever use your Save files as photo-journals?

I try to use the photo in the Save file as much as possible. Whenever I find something of visual interest (scenic sunsets, interesting characters, manually decorated interiors), I save and make sure to capture the moment.

Every now and then, I scroll through them and remember funny moments, beautiful environments, awesome quests, etc.. I also save crucial and interesting visual moments in the Main Quests, Guild Quests, etc.

It also serves as a good way to remember certain Saved situations, in case I ever want to reload a particular moment and try something different. Like fighting Umbra, just as an example, with a different weapon or strategy. So before I fought her, I simply saved a close-up of her mug.

Does anyone else do this? Have you ever captured something special, unique, funny, glitched, etc.? Make sure to post a Spoiler warning if it's applicable! :disguise:

Well, sort of. I just use Fraps, and take maybe (on average) 50 screenshots per play session).

I run a Where I Play thread, where I average 70 - 100 pics a day.

The weird thing is that sometimes, a black rectangle covers the bottom part of the screen. Half of the time, it happens.

I just take screenshots also. I can disable the HUD before taking a screenshot (which saves a lot of time and bother having to remove it with a graphics program).

I take screen shots as well. http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/2573/oblivion201109131154276.jpg

I have created saves of beautiful areas so I could go back and take more screens. Especially for moments like sunrises and sunsets. The light changes so fast at those times.

No I do not use save files as photo journals, but i would if I could. Not sure if it's even possible on the PS3, though.

I tend to save exactly when my character is performing some sort of action: opening a door or a gate, or casting a spell. That way, if I load up the save later on, there'll be this cool animation going on.

Wait, are you... me? I have to wonder cause I do the exact same thing with Lothran! I record his life through the save files and every now and then I look through them and remember all the things he did :foodndrink:

I also every now and then have to delete some of them as the folder has grown well beyond 3.5GB

Yes, I forgot to mention I don't play on PC. I'm on Xbox 360, and I don't use/have console mods, so I'm limited to the photo in the Save file screens.

No matter the method or format, though, it's still a fun little aspect of the game. Cool to see others doing the same thing. I'd probably give up adventuring on the PC version and become a full-time Cyrodiilian photographer.
