So You Finish Skyrim what now?

Post » Sat Jan 08, 2011 4:31 am

Do not forget mods. The mod community of Oblivion is what made me reinstall the game time and again.

Of course, forgive my mistake, I play all of my Elder Scrolls games on console and sometimes forget about the massive amount of mods available as I have no knowledge of any of them, but hey, if a guy like me can stay content with vanilla Morrowind and Oblivion from the moment they came out to this very day that says a lot about how massive these games are on their own. Good job Bethesda.

Continue to play it for the next 10+ years, just like I do with Morrowind and Oblivion.

Edit: and FO3.

Me... I'm going to look forward to the Unicorn DLC.

I bought http://www.thinkgeek.com/caffeine/wacky-edibles/e586/ to support that dlc. :celebration:

I keep trying to finish Oblivion's main quest, but I get bored long before I do. It is the only RPG I own that I have never finished. Guess that says something?

A good 50% or more of the current threads are pointless. Its either complaining about whats confirmed, praising what is confirmed, or hoping a developer will actually listen to their ideas. All pointless.

I swing by this forum between games, work, what not. And your right.

In your opinion, what should be on these forums sir?

A test for noobs. To filter out what ones will bring something to the table and what ones just want "Dwg00n M00nts PLZZZZZZ. Skyrim PWNS".

As for the OP, when I'm done, another playthrough as a different character, get some mods, or perhaps make my own mod.

I was just thinking do you think we should keep playing after the main story Is completed or wait for a DLC to let us to keep playing through. (Me I hope we don't need a DLC to do so I don't have that much money you know?)

I always start with the MQ, so I'll only be about 3% (estimate) done.

I think we all learned how awful an absolute ending can be from Fallout: New Vegas. The worst part is that they absolutely refuse to do a Broken Steel style DLC.

Can't really finish if you mod. Been playing Oblivion for almost 5 years now... well, I've spent more time making mods than actually playing... currently, I am trying to "recreate" Jerusalem for a Templar mod... anyway, I consider making mods part of playing, or part of the entertainment value of the game.

I would keep playing exploring and trying to find every quest possible, and then playing the whole game again with different descisions.

One does not simply "finish" Skyrim.

I've played Morrowind and Oblivion multiple times focusing on different quests and stuff. With modding this game will be a never ending experience. I'm still playing Morrowind and Oblivion now!

I'm pretty sure you can continue playing after the main quest in Skyrim, just like other Elder Scrolls games. I've heard that, at least. In other words, the completion of the main quest is the end of the main story, but it isn't the end of the game, nor is it the end of your adventures in Skyrim, THAT only comes when you choose to stop.

And of course, once you decide it's time to finish with your current character, you can always start a new one, or take a break from Skyrim and play something else, either one works.

I don't understand Finnish. Oh wait...that wasn't a typo?
I will not 'finish' until I have explored every single cell in the game. Then play the mods that appeal to me. Then keep going with new characters.
I'm not finished with Morrowind and Oblivion yet.

Make a new character, and do different choices. The Radiant Story should make the game interesting to play through it again.

For PC players there are mods, which add almost infinite amount of replay value.

Hey OP, don't take this the wrong way, but...

Well honestly, look at the state the gaming industry is in with all this DLC crap that's getting shovelled out. Who in their right mind would want to have to pay for DLC to continue a game that they've already payed for?
