If you got to make your own Fallout movie who would you pick

I could go on with so many lists but these or the people I would love to see do something with the Fallout franchise outside of game material.

Shame on you for not putting a female choice in any of the categories - particularly as the lead character.

Rosaio Dawson as the lead, with Robert Rodriguez to direct.

Bruce Willis (lead actor, protagonist)
Joe Dinicol (2nd lead actor, support)
John Leguizamo (3rd lead actor, ghoul support)
Ken Foree (lead actor, antagonist)
Fallout 1 era
JJ Abrams

Oh and this should be in Fallout Series Forum.

I would like to see Ron Perlman be one of the stars in any Fallout movie. Not necessarily the main character mind you, but someone certainly. Perhaps a BoS Scribe that becomes a companion of the main character.

I would set such a movie in an area not covered directly by the existing Fallout games, so it can open up another region of the wasteland.

Director... Bruce Campbell.

Don't know who the lead would be, but I can imagine a Coen Brothers film about a moron trying to pull off a heist way above his level in New Vegas, and getting screwed over and having his life ruined. You know, basic Coen Brothers film.

My Character would be played by Colin Farrel, In New Vegas, who is a skillful sniper ranking pretty high in the NCR ladder rank the movie would start by him under taking a important mission from the NCR to assassinate some New Vegas high-rolling drug dealer, and the director can take it from there.

Other actor: http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj125/Gizmojunk/cage2-1.jpg
Other Director: Terry Gilliam (Of 12 Monkeys, Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas, and Brazil fame... and one of the Pythons of course).

Hm, i'd like to see Ridley Scott as the Director.

Perhaps a female protagonist, preferably one that can carry the movie... Naomi Watts as a mother.

The movie not based directly on one of the videogames, but it does have the Vault theme in it... David Strathairn as the Overseer (The Bourne Ultimatum)

Hm, this proves to be more difficult than i imagined... glad im not in the movie industry.

Well, Doomsday had a lead female and it was a rather good apoc film. However, I am not sure if I would want a Woman to be a lead in the first Fallout Film.

The best thing about a Fallout Franchise is no need for a Lead character to live on because Fallout is so well suited for the whole cast to die and everything start fresh the next movie.

No, I don't think i would want to see something that has already been done. You must capture something else someone new to be the Anti Hero. I mean the Fallout 1 Era is fine but lets think outside of what we know as far as origin is concerned.

I don't know you or what you could bring to a Fallout movie but if you can make a movie with 100 million price tag I am sure you would be looked at, but don't bank on being unseasoned and getting lucky. Only McG can do that, and look what Terminator Salvation looked like.

and all I have to say to you sir is...

Blah, Blah, Post Apoc Emergency, Blah.

Ridley Scott is probably my favorite director ~period.

Neil Blomkamp is another one I like; but I would not want either of them doing Fallout (though I can see why many, many would).

Years ago I read that Terry Gilliam was keen on doing a movie about DOOM (this collapsed long before the DOOM movie was eventually made).
I think he's the perfect choice for Fallout, and might have made DOOM a movie I'd want to see.

Well, he said DREAM film and I'm a film maker so why not? I feel I could make a better movie then most people just by watching the video game movies they are spitting out right now. I also don't understand a lot of what you're saying, all I stated was that I wanted to direct the film and I wanted it to be based on the Vault Dweller and his adventures. I think I could make a pretty good drama/action movie out of it. Yet you speak like I said something completely different. Also, what are you trying to say about the Fallout 1 era? I don't quite get what you're getting at.

1. Fallout 1 Era is OK

2. Story about Vault Dweller from original game = not original

3. Story about a figure around the Fallout 1 Era = Good and a breath of fresh air

4. McG = Bad Directer who got lucky and got to direct a film about John Conner that I thought svcked. it was very expensive to make that film and any studio giving out 100 million to make a film will not go with a young Director to make a film such as this without some decent experience or at the very least a good Producer behind their every move controlling the purse strings.

5. I started the thread. I know what I meant and I meant dream film, in terms of not being the one involved, but watching and looking forward to the cast and director you would like to see making the film, as well as the addition of the Era you would like to see the movie set in. I am sorry I wasn't more descript. :)

Sorry didn't realize you were OP :bonk:

Ok so you think the Vault Dweller story was not original, and Fallout 2 was the exact same story. And Fallout 3's story svcked ( I would only make it as the sequel) The only story that I would think looks good to you is NV which we don't know much about yet. So what would you want to make? I stick with my dream movie capturing the final moments before the Great war and the story of the VD directed by me. But what would YOU want? You seem to have some pretty strong opinions.

No, the Vault Dweller story was original, its why I want to see something original for the film set in the Fallout universe. Lets keep with the theme that every game that comes out has a new person and never has the same person as the main character. What makes Beowulf different from Lord of the Rings? Age for sure, but nothing much other then who the bad guys are and the context of why the hero is fighting the bad guy. I mean to say lets follow tradition in the Fallout way by not having the Vault Dweller, Chosen One, Lone Wanderer or Courier as the main characters because it would be anything other then Fallout to do so. I think tying it in with previous iterations of the stories we have already heard is not really being original. Your wanting to follow a previous example of what works and it doesn't brake the mold so I find it unoriginal. Lets follow that escaped Android, Lets Follow the computer who has found how to leap from one computer to the next observing the world around it, Lets even follow a Ghoul anti hero. Don't tie yourself to just the Vault Dweller. Its Fallout after all.
