If you have black eyes, will they still change during vampir

I am very stuck on the appearance of my character. Before I create a new one, I wanted to know if black eyes will still change when you become a vampire?

Thank you. The reason I asked, is because someone told me that they chose white eyes, and that they remained white during vampirism.

It sort of depends on the race - if you play an elven character, the eyes will always turn black with amber irises. In a lot of places with dimmer lighting they'll appear completely black. Human race eyes turn just normal amber, there's nothing vampiric about them. If you're worried about appearance changes, human races also encounter a bug with bizarre skin changes - after reloading a vampire save your skin will be darker instead of pale and/or dirty. It has caused no end of frustration to me personally - elven vampires look crap because they end up too gaunt looking, human vampires end up looking like redguards instead of the pale vampire look. >.<

Only vampire characters I've had are Khajiit with yellow eyes. Their eyes turned a pale shade of red with jet black slits for irises.

Generally for men and mer, their skin gets paler and their hair darker, and their eyes become black with red irises. Like Jimmy said, sometimes their eyes take on more of an amber/golden/hazel. Also your character becomes gaunt and their cheekbones more pronounced.

Hair becomes darker? That is interesting. In Oblivion, I do not remember any change to hair.

Yeah apparently if you have a character with really fair/blonde hair, it turns a darker brown or black. I've only played Khajiit as vampires, so I can't speak from experience on the matter but it's in the strat guide.

Well I suppose this pretty much answers my question, however I would still like to get to the bottom of why white eyes do not change (according to my friend), but black eyes do...

This is something that also interests me.

I've played Imperial and Breton vampire characters and one thing I discovered is that only men get the black with the red iris. While women get 'normal' looking gold/hazel eyes.

Only female Nords are affected by the 'dirty face' glitch another member mentioned above.

The white eyes are "blind" eyes. I guess vampirism doesn't restore eyesight.
