if you have school/work/wife having baby on release day....w

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 2:51 am

I'll have to wait til nearer the release date to see if my work is open that day, I will take it off if it is not and might take sunday off if I already have it off. Only want to use one day of personal time because I still might end up having to use some for when ME3 comes out. Saturday is my day off.

I work freelance... I dont have to wake up early for work, I dont have to leave my house to work, I can go for days at a time without working then just blast through everything in one intense day if i wanted to.

So I wont need to scheme to play a game, I can do it any ways :P Plus TESV is released on a friday, so If i decide to accept a fulltime job offer by then I can just pick up Skyrim on my lunch break and play it friday night - sunday night.

I will probably have a job by then. If possible, I will take the day off.

My class schedule gives me one day off each week, so I'm going to try and make it Friday. If that doesn't work out (or if I end up having a job or internship), I'll wait it out like a man.

But but... why are you called LADY Nevara then? O_O

Work by day, play by night? :D

I'll probably sacrifice first Saturday or Sunday and I doubt that I'll get the game exactly on release day unless I order it from some internet shop.
I just hope I'll get English edition, or else it will be too awkward! :D
Took me ages to get used that daedra is dee-dra instead of, well... Daedra. :)

In the U.S. at least, it is released on a Friday (assuming they are faithful to their proclaimed date), so I can pull an all-nighter playing it. If it was released on a Wednesday however....

I don't know about being intoxicated for a first time experience, but on my less social weekends I thoroughly enjoy Oblivion with a bottle of wine or mead...nothing like playing the day after and wondering where all those welkynd stones came from, or why suddnely they're greeting you at the Guild as arch-mage...

As for the day Skyrim comes out, I'll likely just be annoying everyone at work by talking about it.

Remembrance day is a holiday in Canada, so I already get the day off.

I still probably won't play it until Saturday afternoon though, because November 11th happens to be one of my good friends birthdays, so I'll probably be at a party that evening. I suppose I could get the game in the morning and play it a bit on friday, but I think I'll want my first experience to be completely uninterupted.

I will be requesting off work that day if it is released on time. In regards to the wife, I will plan on sending her on a little "vacation" :flamethrower: if you get my meaning, haha, ok, ok, I'll prolly get one of her friends to have her over for that weekend. We have no children so no worries there yet...unless there is an accident.

being able to make an atomic bomb with kitchen appliances, usually makes people around me agree with anything I want.

I'm in university, so I'll just skip school that day/week.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot it's Remembrance Day that day. That means we'll probably be getting the game the 10th already, and everybody's home the 11th. Two days of weekend after that, and since the 15th is a national holiday here as well, I'll probably be getting the 14th off as well. I won't even have to skip classes. :D

Hopefully I'm out of retail by then and won't have to deal with blackout periods and mandatory weekends...... but I've been saying that for ten years now.

I kinda wish the game was coming out on a tuesday, but I guess friday is better for all those who have normal jobs.

No, I will actually have patience and go through a day of school. If video games are seriously affecting your school/career (in a negative way) then you need to find some different entertainment.

Yes I will, but it will have to be delayed for it to come out on a school day in most of Canada seeing as it will be released Saturday the 12. In most of Canada, the eleventh is a holiday, and all stores have to be closed so there will be no Skyrim on the eleventh for most Canadians.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot it's Remembrance Day that day. That means we'll probably be getting the game the 10th already, and everybody's home the 11th.

I never thought that they would release it a day early, you gave me some hope of getting it earlier.
