Well assuming we've been given 2 weeks notice of when it will be released, and I still have my current job I will inform my boss that I'm giving him my 2 weeks notice so he can find someone else,
As I like the Elder Scrolls very much.. and I don't like my job much at all.

Two days before, I make sure I'm all stocked up on supplies.
Night before, I stay up all night because I'm too full with joy and anticipation. Probably play some Morrowind and Daggerfall, perhaps even Oblivion.

You just got home from buying TES V....
I start to install it on my PC, while installing I read the manual and inspect the beautiful map.
Once Installed I make an epic mouse movement to hit the play button in the launcher.
Other than my family and close friends no one sees me in person for a week or two.
Close after that if the Construction Set is released I'll want to see how the tool has improved and what type of new things I can do with it.
After that what happens is unknown...

^Haha.

But yeah, I'll probably do what most everyone else has said. Call in sick or take vacation time for a few days and close contact with the outside world. Buy a ton of snacks and junk food and maybe invest in a catheter, too.

And then obsess over mods like somebody else said to try to make the game as perfect as possible.

edit: If FO:NV is any indicator, I'l probably be waiting a few months to install it so they can fix all the game breaking bugs.

The usual thing I do is break out my fancy headphones, cook a lot of food and drink 6 bottles of cream soda before the day is done. I'm not one for calling in sick, but when I'm not working, you won't see me outside for the next two weeks.

I would kick my cat off the chair. Turn on my TV. Turn on my xbox. Reach toward the game dramatically. Hum an epic song while doing so. Play the game.

Pot of coffee, smokes, fully charged power packs, send girlfriend on a trip, arranging 2 days off in a row and lots of honey mustard pretzel bites.

That's my pre-game.

That's either hardcoe dedication to a video game, or the creepiest sixual fetish I've ever heard.

Probably cry a little on the inside as I realise my computer isn't good enough to play it. Then save up money so I can by a new computer and once it arrives I'll cook a lot of dinners to put in the freezer (so I won't have to take breaks to make dinner), stock up on snacks and install and play it.
