Do you just roll with it? Or use previous saves?

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 7:01 pm

If something goes wrong? I tend to just roll with it. I remember it, I just downloaded dawn guard.... and the vampires attacked. They killed my favorite NPC and merchant. They had killed Belethor! I thought for a minute that I should reload a previous save. I decided not to. Instead I role played that I put Belethor's soul into a soul gem and enchanted my daedric Great axe. I used that weapon to destroy the vampires for the dawn guard. (I just made it to level up 2 handed. After I saw Belethor die, it became personal. The weapon became 10 times more important. I enchanted it with paralyze just so the vampires suffer)

I made Belethor proud.

I usually don't, unless it's a shopkeeper or something. If it's an npc that isn't important, I'll roll with it. I ended up adopting the blonde girl in solitude whose fisherman father and her mother got killed by vamps. She lost her parents and her uncle Rogvir...Who better to take care of her than the Dovahkiin? And I'm a Stormcloak, so it's like I avenged her family for Rogvir's death.

I roll with it. [censored] happens, and it adds to the realism.

It really depends on what happens. If something goes wrong that I could have prevented, then I won't go back. If I feel it's not my fault, or that the person is too important to me, I may go back. Depends on the character I'm using, and the NPC that dies.

Previous saves.

I've just got fed up with Dragons Dogma because they don't allow saves like Bethesda. I double clicked whilst trading as a mistake and now it thinks I was stealing so I've been thrown in jail and lost all my good stuff. It was a poxy mistake!!!
Dragons Dogma is an example if what "could" have been a great game. Google it and see the complaints against "saves" and "too much walking" (needed some form of proper fast travel)

Bethesda are by far the greatest.

Both. If my fault then I roll with it, but the thing, is, Bethesda are such lousy programmers I find I keep reloading because of stupid AI doing things that they really shouldn't be doing. So if no fault to my own, I roll with. Otherwise nothing more annoying a fun game ruined because of bad/poor programing.

The little girl who asks you to convince her mother to return to the temple? She can be adopted!?

She's always telling me how she wants me to be her father.

One thing about Dawnguard I don't like. The Master Vampire has a tendency to go after the people I care about. Shrugged off the Whiterun Guard, and went straight for Alvor. v.v I usually roll with it unless someone but the Guard's die.

I generally roll with it, well, unless my mind is not set on the game yet, like when I'm tired or distracted by something.

Vamp's killed belethor and that female smith, forget her name, in the first hour of downloading dawnguard...I was pissed as they were friends and valuable traders but it gave my character motivation to join the dawnguard so in the end it just added to my roleplaying and i carried on playing.

There's a couple like that.

@OP: I just roll with it. I haven't encountered a scenario too bad yet.

I only reload if whatever happened was my fault, and it was by accident. Things like killing Lydia by fus-ro-dahing her off the Throat of the World because I pressed the shout button, or shooting Alvor to death with arrows by mistake because he got in the way of a dragon that I was trying to kill for attacking Riverwood. Other than that, I just roll with it because it adds to the realism. Skyrim is a harsh place, and sometimes bad things happen.

/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Love it. I cannot say how many time I have killed Lydia, cause she loves to just step in front of that fireball, just as I released it. lol When such occurs, I always reload. if a shopkeeper dies, I reload. Accidently used the shout button in a city, I reload. Otherwise I just roll with it. After all, I agree. Skyrim is a very, very dangerous place.

True, I usually roll with it for the same reason unless it's something like me and Vignar killing everyone in Whiterun, that deserves a reload /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

I just roll with it when other characters die or i bungle things. If i die though i reload a previous save. One of the great things about The Elder Scrolls is that it allows you to make mistakes and live with them in a make believe world that is flawless in its imperfection.

What no way, my brother dared my to kill an assassination target in Windhelm as a werewolf to see if I'd make it out alive. I did, there was no question as to weather or not I would but I did however devour the entire city /devil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> For a split second I thought about a reload but then I chose not to, instead Gorgun-Skyrims unsung Grim reaper was born /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> From that point on I took it upon myself to decide who lives and who dies if it was your time I claimed your http://s1264.photobucket.com/user/Justin_Peddle/media/100_6346.jpg.html?sort=2&o=82 /evil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I roll with it for the most part.

There are, and have been exceptions where I will reload sometimes, but mostly I just roll with whatever happens.
