You know what grinds my gears? part III

Post » Mon Jan 18, 2010 6:50 am

What grinds my gears is the lag in Modern Warfare 2 that usually means
when i empty a clip on a enemy's face it doesn't register a single shot. :glare:

Yeah that and
Lag Switches
Campers
Little kids who sing

Are you saying only 6% of Sweden speak swedish ?!

Da Nang's a Finn if I remember correctly, and Swedish is a minority language over there. For example, my Greek and Latin Roots professor was a Swede from a culturally Danish part of Sweden.

Finland, I think. There's a significant minority of native Swedish speakers. My Swedish prof was a Swedish-speaking Finn. I can remember that her "sj" distinctly came out "fj".

I hate how this country has 2 official languages. 1 that is never used in a whole half of the country, but it's necessary to put French on ALL of our products, most of the time, the people stocking them put the French side facing out and I rage so hard.

Quebec, I hate you so much. :swear: :P

Reminds me of this book I read about bargeeing in France.

The English word for gasoline is Petrol.

The French word for it is essence.

However, the french word for lubricating oil is pétrole.

Be careful you don't blow yourself up.

Learn French?

Il a appris probablement a quelque degre comme l'education francais est obligatoire dans Canada, comme l'anglais serait aux gens dans Quebec.

(He probably has learned to some degree as French education is mandatory in Canada, as English would be to people in Quebec.)

EDIT: It took me like.. 20 minutes to type that. :P

It probably is...I stopped french ed. as soon as it wasnt mandatory and basically forgot everything; all the participals, the masculine and feminine words, and the general vocabulary.

How is that bad parenting? I grew up playing GTA and I'm fine, but that was before online gaming that is.

So did I, as long as the kid can handle seeing Zombies try to eat people then I see no problem with it. A game is a game, contrary to popular belief, video games are not brainwashing our chldren into murderous psychopaths.

But the possibility of young children picking up the syntax and attitudes expressed in those games is surely going to be detrimental to their development as functioning members of society. Their parents actions have a huge effect on their development, and so does the media they're exposed to.

Ran a few morrowind lines through that thing.
Here are some good ones: [54 (max) translations for all of them]

"It would never work. I told him so."
--->"Maybe Sunday"

"the blue plates are nice, but the brown ones seem to last longer."
--->"Blue book is full of children."

"I don't recall using teleportation. yet there I was. alone. naked."
--->"I can not remember when the area is Transferred from Germany"

"and it just stood there, holding it's tail. What did it say?"
--->"Like."

"Be not afraid, for my anger is reserved for the foolish."
--->"Do not worry, I am very ill."

Ah I thought mother tounge meant your contries language and meant he was Swedish, I was thinking how weird that would have been to have only 6% of Sweden know Swedish.
So did I, as long as the kid can handle seeing Zombies try to eat people then I see no problem with it. A game is a game, contrary to popular belief, video games are not brainwashing our chldren into murderous psychopaths.

This reminds me of how my mother blames everything on games, "oh your tired shouldnt be playing games till late" "I was listening to music" yet she still tries to blame games, god it pisses me off, hell earlier she complained about me being on games, I said about her watching TV and apparently watching TV isnt as bad as playying games, logic ftw...
