You know what grinds my gears?

Isn't it more like, once you get off that plane or get on that boat, there's a Lei and a hug waiting for you?

Go to Hawaii and get leid?

Can't argue with that

Is it just me, or is "grinding my gears" taking on a completely different meaning all of a sudden?

1, Being sick.

2, Having to go overseas and pay $32,000 for an operation (as opposed to paying NOTHING) because our doctors here are incompetent and didn't know how to perform it.

3, The operation largely being a failure.

4, Still having to pay off the debt. Spending several years of my life paying off a debt that was all for nothing.

5, The coup de grace: Running into a investigator this afternoon because apparently the operation's loan repayment was behind (I didn't realize), and the company had submitted it to him. After being gruffly yelled at and treated like a criminal, and accused of trying to cheat the company and hide from them, I apologized and explained that I have had plenty of money to make the payment but I simply didn't realize it was due. Being out of town I didn't have my mail, I explained that if they had called me I would have promptly rectified the situation. His reply:
"I've been trying to call you for a week! On !"
Me: "... Pardon? That's not my phone number."
Him: "Well, it's the one they gave me!"
Me:"I guess that explains why I got no call from them either."

If there's one thing I hate, it's being treated like a criminal when I'm not, and it's really just because other people screwed up. OK, maybe I will be a criminal after I've smashed some disgusting, cretinous faces in, but for now I'm not and they should leave people alone.

No really, quite literally, I have not been hugged in years

:hugs: one for you...

But so few willing to give them...

*sniff*

:hugs: and one for you.

"But you're not supporting my decision"
"I'm supporting you, but I disagree with your decision"
"So you're supporting me by not supporting my decision"

Not getting http://www.japanvideogames.com/Pokemon-Center-Pokedoll-Plush-Doll-Lucari-p/POKEMON-Lucario.htmfor Christmas.
Now, I am not a Pokemon fan, but I do on occasion watch the cartoon with my stepson and enjoy it. But dude!! I too would have been pissed off if I had not received that for Christmas. That Lucario is frickin' awesome!!!

The fact that i can't just enjoy call of duty, I always get frustrated when i play it.
When i'm playing football, i'm unmarked standing in front of the goal but my mate still thinks it's a good idea to take a shot form an impossible angle.
Kids in my year that ask for a good beating but never seem to ask for it at an appropriate time.
When people complain about roadworks. ( I know there annoying but without them we would all be screwed).
Elistist arseholes.
When my pc runs slow or freezes.

There are others but i can't think of them all right now..

At work, when accepting donations, and someone walks in carrying a box, and they can see my hands out ready to accept it, and the put it on the ground right in front of me. Nothing pisses me off at work more than that, because they can definitely see my hands, and they still put it on the ground to be a [censored].

Maybe you seem like you can't handle it so it would be best to put it on the ground? They might mean you well! ;)

When girls take pictures with kissy/distorted faces. Stop trying to cover up the fact that you're as ugly as sin and take a normal picture.

I think they do it in order to look more sensual, but they don't seem to realise that anybody looks nicer if they smile, not if they pull stupid pouty faces.

People commenting my mistakes. Gee, thanks for telling me!
People who have to say something about everything.
People who interrupt my Guild Wars sessions.
Fat, stupid and ignorant youngsters.
Rappers.
People who don't think before they do.

One I just spoke to a friend about:

7:14 PM - .:GRB:. Daediddles: You know what annoys me? When you take your time to help with a charity event, and run around with a bag in crowded bleachers to collect money
7:14 PM - .:GRB:. Daediddles: And then when it's done nobody even so much as shifts and inch to the left or right to allow you to climb back up the bleachers to your spot
7:14 PM - .:GRB:. Daediddles: And [censored] when you step on them

In paragraph form:

I was helping with a miracle-minute event, where those of us with bags run around for 60 seconds collecting money from a crowd of people, and the money goes to charity (This one was for Haiti). Of course, being a spectator to the current event, I was sitting in the crowd. The time for the event comes, those of us in the bleachers that are helping with it stand up and start to collect money after the announcer explains it, and we collect money. Of course, the bleachers are VERY packed though, and moving is tough, but we manage somehow.

At the end of the event, we move down to the front of the bleachers and put the collected money in a collective bucket. Here's the hard part, getting back up to our seats. I had one person in the front row kind enough to move aside so I could reach the stair-aisle. I get up to the top, near where I was sitting, and the worst part comes into play. I'm about 20 feet away from my spot and there is NO walking space. People even look at me and stare at me like I'm some idiot. Of course, nobody moves at all, except I think one person. I tried to fight my way through, and in the process accidentally stepped on a few people, who proceeded to call me expletives et cetera. (Despite me apologizing)

If the morons would have shifted in the first goddamned place, I wouldn't have stepped on them.

When people go out of their way and walk into/step on/kick something that had been lying somehwere out of the way and they get angry and ask you to move it. It's been there for the past 3 weeks, no one else has walked into it, it was there before you, you've walked past it several times just fine, it's not like it jumped in your way - so don't blame the inanimate object.

When people do stupid things in serious situations. A friend of mine had her English paper vandalised on the day it was due in, the saboteur included various expletives and obscenities within her text and she had to quickly rush back home, proof-read and print off another copy. I have a good idea who it is too, but no proof :(

People all around me who insist on burning fireplaces when its not cold.
Nearby farms who's owners insist are burning every scrap of field debris on a regular basis.
People setting grass and forest fires nearby with their stupidity almost weekly during the dry season.

This town has the smokiest air of any place I've ever lived.

Most of the television commercials today. First they insult your intelligence, common sense, or manual dexterity... then they try to sell you their product.

I should be laughing at that, but I actually have a similar situation with peanut butter. NO ONE PUTS THE FIRST KNIFE IN A NEW JAR OF PEANUT BUTTER BUT ME.

Those few times turn me mental. Robbed of the enjoyment of sinking that first knife into that smooth, creamy surface...

Oh yeah, this is better than six.

In LA, you can always taste the air! It's kinda got a metallic taste to it. Sometimes copper, sometimes a brass taste? And sometimes it burns your eyes really bad when the northern fires light up.
