You know what grinds my gears?

Post » Sat Dec 26, 2009 11:20 pm

People all around me who insist on burning fireplaces when its not cold.
Nearby farms who's owners insist are burning every scrap of field debris on a regular basis.
People setting grass and forest fires nearby with their stupidity almost weekly during the dry season.

This town has the smokiest air of any place I've ever lived.

Holy crap, man. Where's that, Pyroville?

It's just typical Northern California brush/wild fires. It spreads all the way up and down the coast, and gradually move inland.

It really annoys me when people intentionally mispronounce words. It probably annoys me because I have a speech impediment (I have trouble with 'r' sounds in the middle and ends of words) and I know how annoying it is not being able to pronounce many words (think about how many words that have an 'r' sound)

Yeah, New Jersey grinds my gears. (And I live in this toxic waste dump.)

I also have another issue with idiot drivers. Specifically ones of the fairer six and people who read.

Yesterday morning, while driving to work I was sitting on RT. 23 South (In northern NJ) and the [censored] in front of me was reading the newspaper. HEY IDIOT DRIVE YOUR CAR!

Yesterday afternoon while driving home from work I was again on RT. 23 North and making a right turn onto 515 to go into Vernon and this (refraining from calling her a name) "woman" (and I use the term loosely) somehow was managing to rummage through her rear seat whilst driving. How she was doing this was beyond me. BUT, she was not doing it well. The car was swerving to and fro. The she found what she was looking for. Her brush. Yup, she just needed to brush her hair. Then when I thought it was all over the car started to swerve to and fro again. This time she was bent over with her head in the passenger seat. At one point the (refraining from calling her a name) was in the other lane for 1/8th of a mile. She almost hit a red pickup truck. Then finally, I thought it was over. ope wrong again. She almost drove off the road into the woods. Then again. Then almost hit a BMW parked on the side of the road. Was back in the other lane. She did this for 8 miles. Thenin the center of town she decided to occupy both the straight lane and the left turn lane. I finally managed to pull along side her, laid on the horn and gave her the finger. But what I really wanted to do was force her off the road at high speed into a tree or a rock in hopes her frickin' beautiful face would go through the windshield.

When people replace "have" with "of". Pretty much any broken dumbed down words, like "n e" being "any" (same [censored] number of characters).

When people go to Mcdonalds and get a Bic Mac with a diet pop & a large fry, Seriously the Diet pop isn't going to change anything!

People who say this.

Ever considered that some people like the taste of diet coke? I personally can't abide the taste of normal coke (or pepsi) and ALWAYS get diet.

Actually I didn't think of that, I can't even imagine how someone could like Diet Coke better than the smooth classic taste of Coca-Cola.

I can't imagine how someone could like the flesh-dissolving taste of Coca-Cola in the first place, so I guess that's a common thing.

Because I don't like drinking that much sugar. I used to really hate it growing up, I can drink it as a mixer nowadays (Pepsi anyway, Coca-Cola still not so much), but I'd still take diet coke any day. Oddly enough, I rarely drink diet coke outside of McDonalds, always tastes nicer from there, guess it's the ice watering it down a touch.

...It should come as no surprise to you that I like Coca-cola, then.

I'm pretty sure turns-the-page will also like it, given that he IS the hybrid spawn of some strange abomination.

My latest gear grinding... Neighbor comes over and asks to borrow my lawn mower to cut his weed infested lawn and shoot all the weed seeds into my well-manicured lawn. Halfway through his mowing, I hear my lawnmower run out of gas. Neighbor knocks on my door and asks to borrow some gasoline for my lawnmower so he can finish mowing his lawn. I give him some and after he finishes, he returns my lawnmower clogged and covered with his weeds... and the gas tank running on empty. :flame:

In no real order.

Alarmists, Radicals of any type including those in moderation of ideas, idealistic wide eyed fools, overly pessimistic people, closemindedless, people who accept change but not question it weather its good or bad, morons, those who buy into words with ease and general gullibility, people who doesn't even try to spell correctly lik dis. People leaving one word posts like lol (now I expect someone saying some sort of snarky and post lol after this post), people who think doing drugs is cool, http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim, people thinking that haveing poor grades in school is cool, people who think they are cool because they are some gangster wanabe, gangsters, gangster rappers, rap in general (can't stand it my self but o well), people who think it is fun to beat animals, when I work with others as a team and end up having to hold their hand 89% of the time, trolls, people who finds it fun to bully someone, people who tries to be the center of attention, Elitist jerks despite being no better then those around them, people who walk really slowly(Thanks Spork), and loads more that I can't remember now.

Needless to say one of the main emotions that I experience is anger.

You guys haven't had real Coca-Cola until you have had the stuff they bottle in Mexico (real cane sugar instead of HFCS). Thankfully the local grocery store imports them.
