You know when you are playing the game too much when...

I am sure we have all had moments when we have realised we are playing too much of the game. It started for me when I saw things lying about - like concrete slabs in the garden - and thought, 'I can salvage those'.

I went another level today though! I was out for my run and had my earphones in, I heard a beeping noise somewhere on the road and my first thought was, 'That's a Suicide Mutant' and actually started to run quicker!

When do you know you've played too much?

This morning I saw a car with the license plate "GOSOX". I immediately thought about Diamond City! Boston Red Sox YEA! :)

When I got to work this morning, a co-worker was telling me about a book she was reading. The story takes place during the 18th Century and dealt with an escaped slave, who made her way to the north. I was like oh yea, I bet the Underground Railroad helped her. And she was like yes, yes, I bet you read books about it. I was like, well, the game I'm currently playing takes place in Boston and it has lots of historic references in it, as well as an Underground Railroad. I didn't tell her about Synths though, I doubt she would have understood. LOL

When I hear helicopters, I immediately think Veritbird... and then I look for cover... LOL

When I was younger and used to play Ninja Gaiden,

I had strong urge to run the wall to go up/down the floor instead of using elevator or stair.

Thank god I did not. lol

When you get to work and tell your boss to do your job. After all, that is what a boss is for. Right?

Oh, wait. That's just the minutemen.

Living in Michigan in the winter all the trees look dead, and I think I have lots of wood I could build more settlements...

When I look around the office breakroom and see two small fans and think "I have to grab those and scrap them..I need more screws..."

When I am driving and see something out of the corner of my eye and identify it as one of those round flying robots and wonder where it is going..

The other day, my daughter (who's 10) comes to me and asks me, why are there emoticons on the bottom of the file manage window (for Windows OS). And I was like, "I have no idea what you are talking about. There are no emoticons in the windows file manager."

So she points to the bottom left of the window where the drive labels are, and she goes, "See there's a smily face and a frowny face"

example.

[Drive Name] ( C : )...

And I just started laughing. So I had to explain where that comes from and how to use it, by launching the CMD in the run window, that brings up the old DOS prompt screen.

And while I was typing the old DOS commands and seeing the screen, it suddenly dawned on me that.. Fallout 2077 universe is still using DOS 3.0 operating system!!! What's up with that!

When someone opens a bottle of beer and you want to pick up the cap instead of letting them throw it away.
