You know you've played Oblivion for too long if...

Just thought this might be a little fun. So here goes:

You know you've played Oblivion for too long if...

You can tell Viper's Bugloss from Nightshade at a distance, but you can't tell an oak from a hickory in real life.

You can identify more plants in Cyrodiil than you can on Earth.

You look for the "Fast Travel" option when stuck in traffic.

You go deer hunting and try to outrun them.

You look for shrines/ruins/forts when going on a walk.

You have an escape plan in case of a Daedric invasion.

You've designed a real house based on one from the game.

You think about casting a "charm" spell when asking for a raise.

So what are some of your "ifs"?

True story from today:

I was in the underworks of a building doing my R/L job, when I heard a noisy "breath" from some machinery. As never went there before in my life, I didn't know what was about, and the first thing it passed thought my head was "Damn, a wraith! And I don't have any weapons, how damn I'm supposed to fight it?"

Then noticed what I thought, laughed and said to myself "Yeah, I definitely play too much Oblivion....".

P.D: The sound was REALLY very close to a wraith's "idle" breath....

Well, I'll occasionally think that if I make a mistake in a real world event, I could just load a prevous save, and then I hit myself on my head... :slap:

My tulips are starting to grow (no flowers, just leaves) and when I glanced over at my yard I thought, "Awesome, another nirnroot". It didn't occur to me that it was too far from water to be a nirnroot or that it was real life :)

I made a post like this in the TES General board.

For me it's swearing by Tamriellic gods, and absently quoting in game dialogue, telling people 'may Talos guide you' and such like.

You don't hesitate to go swimming across any lake you see, without even undressing, kicking off your shoes, emptying your pockets, or putting down whatever you're holding.

You think you, or any human being that ever lived, has enough health points to survive even one or two good strikes with a medieval weapon. Kids, don't try this at home.

And you've been playing way too much if you think bending at the knees and hips will let you get away with it.

You say "Nine Divines" instead of "God".

when you start dreaming about summoning creatures...

when you are in the kitchen and you raise you hand to cast "Light" instead of reaching for the switch.

when you favorite saying is "By the Nine Divines" instead of some other real life "I just goofed up" saying.

If you meet a cat in the street, misinterpret its look as a demand for 100 septims and beat its head in with a large hammer.

You think people won't notice you stealing their stuff as long as you punch it into the corner where they can't see it first.

You think that telling jokes, admiring, boasting, and coercing people in rapid succession is the key to making them like you.

You're worried about leaving things anywhere besides your own house because they might disappear.

You're sure you can mix a potent poison by using venison and strawberries. (yeah it works in the game lol :D)

You genuinely worry about swimming in a lake because of the flesh eating fish that might lurk below the surface.

Thats it for now.

I'd call it "Poison of Indigestion".
