You know you've played too much Elder Scrolls when ...

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 6:27 am

I thought this would be a really interesting idea for everyone. It's probably been done a thousand times but I have not come across it yet. I want you each to put in your post "You know you've played too much Elder Scrolls when ... " and then add your own personal experiences. I'll start it off with one of mine.

You know you've played too much Elder Scrolls when you almost slip up and say "coin" instead of money in a real conversation"

I was talking to a friend and he wanted to go grab some food and I almost said " I don't have any coin sorry". Haha.

You picture things you have to do in real life as quests in your head. For example, school is one big main quest, and lessons are misc quests.

Oh, and I've imagined what the Clarivoyance spell looks like when I'm walking somewhere.

You know you've played too much Elder Scrolls when you order duck in a restaurant, and the first thing you think when your plate arrives is, "Gee, I haven't seen duck in Skyrim. Only Pheasant."

I was sitting down eating with my girlfriend and looked up at her and thought, "I would shorten that nose length and maybe raise the eyebrows a little."

When you screw something up in real life and try to load a previous save or when skyrim finds its way into your dream which happened a few times before the game came out to me, and i dreamed i was playing fallout nv almost once a week before it came out last year, then i would wake up and realize i still had a few more weeks to wait, that made me sad.

You know you play too much TES when you walk up to strangers on the street, stare them in the face and poke them in order to start a conversation.

When you find yourself, exhausted after work, standing in a 10-deep line at the grocery store on Thanksgiving Eve, and you shout

FUS-RO-DAH!

in the off chance it might clear the way......

Well try it, it really does start a conversation irl, it might not be a pleasant one, but it works.
