you know you're addicted to Oblivion when you stay up until midnight playing Oblivion, go to sleep, awaken 2 hours later thinking, "man, sleep is so boring" and turn your computer back on to continue playing.

I have done exactly that on numerous occasions, both for Morrowind and oblvion! :cookie:

When you celebrated New Years Eve 2010/2011 by firing a Flare Arrow up in the air from your sweet Oak Bow.

When you lay in bed at night dreaming up what your character is going to do the next day, making a routine and deciding where he will eat and what meals.

when you are on your fourth copy of the game because you have younger siblings that have lost/broken your other ones and yet shelling out 30$ doesn't hurt as much because its for a good cause.

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when...

You notice that everyone in Cyrodiil is right-handed.

The above bothers you.

You release ten or more mods. (I've released 18 so far.)

You release more than two mods in a week. (My record is 5.)

When you start a fanfic for one (or more) of you're characters. (I'm working on one myself.)

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when...

When in real if some tells you "You smell of death!" and you want to reply "maybe because I've been summoning dead things?"

--> You make geneologies and bloodlines of all your characters going as far back as "Arena" and write a large book pratically on how they're all inticrately woven together.

--> Every single character of the games following "Arena" are either the "Arena" character but aged or the descendant of the Arena character.

---> You have your character join the Mage's guild and write down the days and times classes are so you can role-play that you're attending it or teaching it.

I am somewhat guilty of the first too. I once made a family tree of my Fallout 3 character that went back (and I am not joking) to 1758 AD. Her family was involved in all the wars the US was in and she's just the present generation that happens to be fighting a new war. A war of survival. I even continued the timeline by having her meet and marry Nick Cross (My New Vegas character), marrying him and starting a family. Guess what I'll be playing as when Fallout 4 comes?

I'm kinda iffy on making a timeline for my Elder Scrolls characters as the dates and era are...confusing at best. :/

I guess you're addicted to Oblivion if your character:

- has her own photobucket page.

- has her own fan fiction saga.

- has infiltrated her picture into your avatar.

- can tell you the life histories of many Cyrodiil residents.

- refuses to let you start a new character or play any other game without her as the star.

- receives hits if you google her name.

- gets PMs addressed to her instead of you.

- expects you to get her a nice mod for her birthday and other holidays.

- has a tantrum if she gets stuck between rocks, and you laugh at her instead of working the command console to free her.

You know you're addicted to Oblivion (Or generally the Elder Scrolls series) when:

- You cuss people out using words like "N'wah" and "S'wit"

- You hear someone behind you and are shocked there was no battle music

- You've planned your escape if you ever go to prison and it involves claiming that you were put there because of a "mix-up with the watch"

- You try your hand at alchemy.

- Your idea of trying your hand at alchemy is grinding a potato with an apple.

- And once you drink this concoction you actually believe you are less tired.

- You've planned your heist of official documents from the Capital, and it involves a Giant Hourglass you found.

-You scour garage sales looking for Red Amulets encrusted with several jewels.

- Upon finding one you think you have Septim blood.

When you purchased a overpriced computer just to play it on max settings.
When you own the Vanilla version, Collector's edition, GOTY edition, and digital versions on every platform.

I haven't done this as of yet. Although, I have recently been drooling over an Alienware model and planning out exactly how I can manage to save enough to buy it so I can run Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim and the associated mods on max settings. :)

Not to mention pricing surround sound speaker systems and good headphones (for those late night can't sleep gotta play times)

I'm also guilty of several of the other postings in this thread.

Actually, it was just a coincidence that my husband bought me a totally kick buttt computer as a gift and it just happened to be able to play Oblivion on Ultra High settings. Seriously. :)

But my "you know your addicted" came the other day when I was uploading some pictures to a family blog we have. I happened across a picture of my yard and saw a plant and actually thought to myself "that looks a lot like a Nirnroot!"

You know you're addicted to Oblivion when you:

-Play for so long that you're wondering why you can't just appear at some place when you're outside.
-Walk up to someone and say "rumor", expecting them to tell you about something that is happening.
-Trying to run where-ever you go only to find out that after a while, you get tired which you find strange.
