"You'll Known It When It Happens" Help? : Fallout: New Vegas

So as you can see, I'm doing the quest "You'll Know It When It Happens" and I need to look around for clues of a potential attack on the NCR president. I talked to one girl saying her friend "Ben" was missing but I have no idea if that's who I'm looking for or where to find him? Help?

Search the presidents verti bird when it lands. You need to pass a speech check to get to it, well I did at least I had dark hero reputation with NCR. Also, you can hack a terminal in the lobby and it will tell you where all the snipers are located. Keep an eye on those spots. I failed on my first play through cause I didn't have high enough speech(75 i think), was still neat.

I have a stellar reputation with the NCR so they just let me access the vertibird without any tests. I hacked the terminal and saw the locations, saw that somebody downloaded the list, etc, but that doesn't do much...

So far the only thing I have encountered is the suicide bomber attempt, is it scripted to always be that or will there will be the random possibility of snipers and other attackers? Also I encountered a bomb on the vertibird once, but only once.

I've only completed the quest once, but here's what I encountered.

My rep with the NCR was high enough that I got permission to explore wherever I wanted when looking for potential threats. Upon speaking to a named engineer on the second floor of the visitors center, I discovered blood in a closet on the first floor, which updated the quest, notifying me that I should observe any engineers that are acting suspicious. I found a suspicious engineer and followed him around after telling the ranger to get started. When the Vertibird landed, the engineer planted a bomb, which I defused. The quest updated asking me to tell the Ranger to end the ceremony. The President escaped safely and the quest completed.

The sniping post right behind where the president is talking I seen a Ranger fall. I went and discovered it and climbed the ladder. A person who appeared to be a ranger was up there. I talked to him and tried to get him to follow me to tell that a Ranger was dead, but he attacked me. It was a legion member disguised as a Ranger.
