Do you lendborrow games?

Now that the fire has waned from the fiasco that was Microsoft's XO announcement (and we lose our ability to digitally share games), I think it's time to ask the questions now (above).

I couldn't help but remember the Sony marketing campaign of "sharing" a game via a bow and a DRM-laced bluray disk.

Now that you've answered the question, here's a final one: if you had the capability of digitally sharing, would you be more likely to do so?

Personally, I only lent out one game and that's only because I enticed a friend to buy a 360 and he wanted to try the first Assassin's Creed. He didn't care for the console much, so he went back to PC gaming.

For the most part, heck no I don't share! If anything were to happen to the game, it's highly unlikely I'd get it back. I know some friends would restore the lost disk, but I don't like taking chances.

I don't borrow, either, as I'm always afraid something will happen to the game and I get blamed for it, like a scratch or something. Not worth the risk.

Now, if it were digitally allowed, I'd share. Dishonored would be a fantastic game to share, given not many have played it.

:D

So, let's hear what you have to say. ;)

I let my friend borrow Halo CE (first Halo). It's been 5 years and he still hasn't given it back. Not that it would matter since I now have a PS3.

Nope. I've lent games in a past and have either never gotten them back or had to nag and pitch a fit to get it back. So no more lending.

I've borrowed games from friends and never returned them, and vice versa. Ah, friendships...

Ya, i do both. But I generally don't trust anybody. I trust my best of friends, but thats about it. If a game is too short, like -10 hours. Than I won't buy it and just borrow it from friend or library. On steam, I would use steam sharing. Though they did scale back the freedoms of it sadly. Like you aren't able to play games offline on steam sharing which is sad.

M'aiq will never lend or borrow anything... Unless he is given a bottle of skooma with a sweetroll mixed in.

I lend games occasionally (have 2 games and a PSP lent out atm), but I haven't borrowed a game in over a decade.

I have loaned out a number of games over the years. Just this week a friend was talking about wanting to try Sacred 2 and I gave him my discs for it.

It happens, but not very often at all. It's been over 15 years since I borrowed a game now, but I did lend a game to a friend of mine not that long ago and often lend games to my father too.

However, it was extremely common back when I was a kid/teen and we gaming kids in the nearby neighbourhoods lent games and consoles to eachother all the time.
