Do you like Crysis 2’s current HUD?

Post » Tue Oct 19, 2010 11:56 am

With all the new screens released lately I was hoping to see a new HUD making its appearance, but still nothing. Is this how the HUD is going to be for the final game or will we see something else later?

I see nothing wrong with it. That doesn't mean I'm crazy for it though. It's a HUD, it isn't cluttered, and it looks clean. I'm not in love with it though, but I like it where it is.

its simple, yet... not good enough for the nanosuit. I want something more firm yet simple

Its OK. It has a bit of a sci-fi feel to it.......They should incorporate the HUD system showed in Dead Space, now thats what I call a HUD.

I think it looks awesome. It's similiar to the ones from Crysis but with a bit more 3D so the Interace looks more realistic as a suit HUD.

Yeah man, talk about immersion. Crysis 2 could have this, and should. Especially the suit's energy bar, put it on the wrist or something. My ideal HUD would be...nothing!

I like the look of the HUD, but I want to turn it off completely. I really hope there are options to customize this. I want those graphics, not the scoreboard and map. Take the HUD out of the picture, and you will feel it more IMO.

Defeat, I will hang up. [SARCASM]
It's OK, but HUD from Crysis 1 is better!

If they decide to have a HUD, then this one is great.
But if they ask me, they should ditch the HUD, Half Life 2 style. Maybe add some ammo and energy meter on the gun.

Although in the end the suit does have a built in HUD anyway, so having to look at a screen on the gun would actually be a step back from the tech used :) In terms of games like call of duty, removal of a hud would be great to enhance realism. But in the case of crysis 2 it doesn't make any real sense :)

I never liked Crysis 1's HUD. It was too pale and generic, and in contrast to this new one, I doubt it could stand up on it's own two feet. :P

I like it very much, it's aligned to suit the helmet.

Maybe they should make the hud an attachment on a screen on the gun, like the heartbeat sensor in MW2 but with the HUD instead :D

That's exactly how a mini-map should be handled. I liked the gps in Far Cry 2, but on a gun would be sweet.

Crysis 1's is flat and unchanging. Crysis 2's just LOOKS like what a HUD should be like.

I'm a fan of it. It really stood out and I think the original HUD was way too plain.

The new hud is reflexive, and more interactive though.... might, take some time to get used too...

All I see is an energy bar, no health bar like Crysis 1

I thinks it's a little bit too confusing, the old nanosuit's HUD was more simple, one look was enough to see what is going on. Maybe I have to get used to it, but colors wouldn't be false at all.

They NEED to add a health bar into it. In singleplayer its fine not to have a health bar but in multiplayer its so annoying not knowing how much health you actually have. A red ring around the sides of the screen doesn't tell me if i have 10% or 40% health at a glance.
