Do you like Dark Chocolate?

Post » Wed Mar 02, 2016 1:31 pm

This is indeed a random topic, but ah well.

Do you like Dark Chocolate, and if so, what do you like about it?

I like it, and I see it as 'purer cocoa per gram'

Seeing how the other stuff has cows milk in it and that [censored] gets me sick.....I love Dark chocolate.

Raw cocoa taste gross though.

Depends what mood I'm in: I don't dislike it, unless it really is too intense (the 85%+ cocoa is too much for me, it's like unsweetened coffee in that regard and I'm not a fan) and sometimes enjoy it, but I generally prefer milk chocolate.

Dark chocolate is wonderful. I've yet to have some too rich for me, often put pure Baker's unsweetened chocolate as topping on ice cream.

While in small doses I've yet to find something too rich, dark chocolate for me has a built in limiter: I won't eat it constantly. Just a small bar goes a long way.

I used to not like it but now I love it. There seems to be a lot more variety and variety of complexity you can put into dark chocolate. To me it's like sipping a fine wine.

Dark chocolate is good with other flavours like mint and orange. Milk chocolate is better on its own. Dark chocolate is also much better with

biscuits, cakes or ice cream. It is also really good with drinking chocolate. Its cleaner sharper flavour means dark chocolate has many uses.

Cousin: "Hey Berret! Want some chocolate?"

Me: "Okay!" *takes a big bite out of it, ends up traumatized for life.*

I was BETRAYED.

I'm not a fan, unless you count Chocolate Abuelita, that makes amazing http://www.myhumblekitchen.com/2012/11/how-to-make-champurrado-a-mexican-thick-hot-chocolate/.

By itself I can only eat small amounts before I cannot tolerate it anymore. I also find it better and easier to eat when its complemented with something else.

Prefer it to milk chocolate but I'm not really a chocolate fan.

I love dark chocolate. It's got this bitterness that is nicely balanced out with sweetness.

Absolutely love dark chocolate, but as someone else said anything above a certain % is to much, usually 75-80% is where I draw the line. I also don't eat a lot of it at any given time, as Defron said a small amount goes a long way :)

Love dark chocolate. Especially accompanied with a cup of black coffee :) I also use it in some savory meat recipes (like chili con carne with beef chunks, as in, not grinded meat) Shavings are nice to sweet things, to balance it out.
