Look at you being Mr. Naughty Bear, back in the day. Share your secrets.

Fair point though, otters are unbelievably malodorous.

And that reminds me, I should investigate that suspiciously green bottle of absinthe that's menacing the drinks cabinet.

No, it was more crazy than that. The most outrageous one I can vaguely recall was ranting the otters had taken over the UN and were spying on us for their take over of the world. As you can imagine, sobriety the next day made me shame delete that night's statuses >_>

While I never log into Facebook anymore, I do have one person on my friends list (someone left over from my past) who I had to set to ignore all posts from due to this very reason. Probably would've been better to just remove him from my friends list entirely, but I don't hate the guy, I just don't like his drunk posting.

When I was young I went for drinking parties. Now I'm almost 50, I like cake and ice cream parties. And there had better be cake and ice cream!

Well, thanks? I just like doing something different. My entire life more or less revolves around the idea of always grabbing any situation and doing what makes for a better story later. But that only really applies when I am 'out'. If that makes me interesting to some people, that is great. As it stands, I am actually more of a homebody now than a party guy lol. Today is an exception rather than a rule. Then again good raves and parties are increasingly rare imo. Or maybe I got older and the 'new blood' bored me, but I am only 23.

In any case, I pretty much ensure I never get bored if I can possibly help it. No parties? Surfing. No surf? Read a good book. No good books? Video games. No good games? Anime. No good anime? Internet. There is always good stuff on the internet somewhere.

I like to party but not to often. Maybe a couple times a month? I'm not partying to get drunk either. Those days are behind me.

While I don't party often, I don't really like parties. But when I'm at one well let say shy me is gradually push out the window and the party demon comes forth and starts to have fun, but I don't consume any mind altering substance that just one rule I'll never break.

We used to call that liquid courage back in the day. Maybe still do, I've been out of the loop for a few years now.

Definitely did more than my share of partying in my youth, but I'm far past those days. Now I have too much crap going on in my life to throw off responsiblity. (And I have zero patience for drunken nonsense. People always want to fight and be foolish when they drink and it ruins any and all of the fun.)

Besides, I think your idea of "party" changes as you get older. I'm excited if I just get a chance to get to the bar with a friend for karaoke once every 6 months.

This,

and .....

'am partying right now . My tastes have changed as many of your have as well. My idea of p artying tonight is having a nice glass of Chianti with my wife. We're both on our devices messing around on the net. The kids are playing Minecraft we're all together and everyone is happy. We're partying our hinnies off. When they finally go to bed and I finally get to play Skyrim thats when the party really starts. Tonight I'll probably go and check out my favorite bard at the tavern, he can really jam on that lute.

I love small gatherings and I kinda hate large ones. I'm pretty terrible at meeting new people and I find myself holding a bit of a weird double standard when it comes to making a fool of oneself. I don't like being drunk and foolish very much, even though I love watching other people act in such a way. I guess I just bore of it all quickly, too - as I say, parties with people I actually know and have a good rapport with are awesome. I am not one of those people that can just wade into a nightclub alone and have a great time.

Clubs are weird for me. I see a lot of opinions from women saying "Well I kind of detest going into this place to have all these drunk men fawning all over me" and well, every time I find myself at a place like that with friends, I'm encouraged to be that guy and do all that fawning stuff, and I'm just so conscious of what a dike I'm making of myself when I do that kind of thing. To some people that sort of thing comes naturally and I know a lot of people like being on the giving and receiving end of that kind of attention, but it does not feel right to me at all. Parties are cool - house parties with people I know are great. Standing in line for half an hour to pay a $20 cover charge to get into a club where I can't hear [censored] over the crappy music and don't know anybody svcks.

So uh... no, I guess no?

Funny, I still kiss girls I don't know, or barely know. Its how I met my current g/f.

EDIT: So speaking of parties, I will be going to one today. A Super Bowl party, rooting for the Broncos and Manning. Got 20 in a block pool, 5 bucks a block. Got a bottle o Captian Morgan: Private Stock and some Wild Turkey 101. There will be some good food there and other indulgences. My wife hates football, so she and my son are going to the in-laws house. Going to be a good afternoon.

I used to party a lot. I just don't have time for it anymore. I still drink beers while playing games once or twice a week but I don't go to bars or house parties at all.

The only time I was ever invited to a party was several years ago now when I was in High School, but due to my lack of interest to go I turned it down.

This pretty much describes me, especially the underlined part.. I was probably only invited the one time because some of the people around me were going, so I guess they figured they would invite me. I don't like hanging out with a lot of people, so I haven't ever been invited to another party since.. the only parties I really enjoy are ones held by my family.

I'm glad to see that I'm not alone, friends used to think me strange that I could recall things in detail and refrained from doing the out of character things that many do intoxicated...I think that's because I'm genuine and true to myself with little inhibitions sober
:lmao:
I've never heard of alcohol acting like a certain mind altering substance...you may be a bit crazy friend

If you were that drunk then how could you even type? I remember many times trying to text girls while hammered and getting nauseous trying to focus on the blurry print or it coming out all wrong.

Being a retired NAVY guy who went to High School back in the seventies, I prefer not to inciminate myself...

However, these days party to me means mass quantities of pizza (I've been putting Dominoes to shame for the last twenty years with my pizza making) and enough brew to wash it down with. I'm a stay at home type - and have many friends online. I believe a fool and his drivers license are soon parted, and I never did like loud places full of people who should know better.

That being said, of the many definitions of "PARTY" the one I prefer is when good friends get together to work on a project. Projects such as hard core gaming, or what we call "Engine Stuffing Parties", where the crew comes over to get the hard part done on a hotrod. Party does not have to mean intoxication - and when the key is turned and the mellow tones of all cylinders firing cleanly fill the driveway, THAT TO ME is a celebration!
